i think there are gonna be some questions raised at when babita started having feelings for HS and why she agreed to get married so soon and even the smallest sign of trouble with mini will be blamed on babita neglecting her.

There is something really wrong here. What is she going to do once she gets married? She can't back out of the rishta that easily. And I know that both of them are okay with breaking it off if that's what Minnie wanted, but that makes it seem like they're getting married ONLY for Minnie. They're not doing it for themselves or for each other. With that kind of basis, I don't know how long will the marriage last if their only connective tissue is Minnie. They need to connect with one another as well.

Minnie ki toh baat hi chodo. 😵 There are some rare moments where I genuinely like her but nowadays, she's just been getting on my nerves. Again, I get that she's excited and SUPER happy for her Babes, but I feel like she's operating on maximum overdrive. Almost as if she's trying to compensate for something.

i think HS and babita were ready to cancel the wedding because for both of them mini is more important, specially for babes.

babes doesnt want mini to feel neglected or hurt because of her marriage. for babes and HS, mini's approval was very important which is expected.

and mini HS love each other, though they have not reached a level of extreme comfort, which they will. mini is someone who connects them, but they have their own equation.

it was not mini who asked babita to take care of HS when he is drun, or cook for him, or take care of his things. and it is not mini, who asked HS to motivate babita, help her, talk to her.

mini is heading towards a major breakdown.

and now a days, ppl donot host receptions, so there are speeches/ videos at the wedding.

I know Minnie is extremely important for them but my point is that on some level they must want this marriage for each other as well. Minnie is an important connective tissue but their marriage must be able to stand on its own.

Minnie may not have asked Hanita to do these things for each other but we haven't really seen them spend time with each other post confession either. I'll chalk it up to getting carried away by all the wedding preparations but I would like to see the tracks be handled with same elegance as the previous ones were.

Yup. The more she keeps bottled up, the worse it's gonna come out.

I don't know how it is in India, but in Canada, a wedding is incomplete without a reception. It's as mandatory as the Anand Karaj itself.

Beeji claims to love her granddaughter but if she really did then she would not be so obtuse about what's good for her. I just want them to move out of NB's house before they make the atmosphere even more toxic, and of they dare say anything to her, then they needed to be punished. Technically and officially she's the MIL now, not Beeji.

The only way the Khuranas can be kicked out of their lives is if Babita draws the line. I have a feeling that won't happen any time soon.

i understand what you are trying to say, and i agree. post confession they havent spent time, but before that they shared a mature relation - trusting each other, sharing their probs etc.

@Bold - considering how well the CVs have handled the tracks till now, i would expect to see a lot from them.

In India, most punjabi weddings have so many functions that no one really wants a reception. it was common till about 10 years back but now its not that common. All the ceremonies shown actually happen in punjabi weddings so it gets tiring. I wouls assume in Canada there are not so many functions and if so, they might not be so tiring. And also, receptions are considered a part of the wedding in the West, so it makes sense. Here, not so much.

And even after the wedding there are so many rasams left, like pag phere, rasoi, chuda wadhana, then going to all relatives place for lunch/dinner, first festivals etc. shaadi is more like a few months process than a week long celelbration.

Yeahh, in Canada these functions aren't an all day thing. The smaller rituals like mehndi, sangeet etc. happen in weekday evenings since that's when everyone comes home from work. Friday morning will be the Anand Karaj. The reception however happens Saturday night and is the main event where everyone is invited and those who couldn't make it to the other functions can come.

I don't know what the post marriage rituals are like here but pre wedding teekh takh hi hota hai.
