Thugs of Hindostan had so much potential to be a great masala movie

The setting & premise is refreshing for a Bollywood movie. Usually in masala movies we just get the same OTT old Cop vs evil dude story, revenge fantasies etc.

But an action adventure movie (with inspiration from Pirates of the Carribean without the fantasy) was something new. Aamir Khan and Amitabh are also great iconic actors who were teaming up for the first time

It's just a shame that the script was complete garbage but I didn't expect anything better from the "acclaimed" writer of the Dhoom franchise and Tashan. What a waste. Brace yourself for more Rohit Shetty cop bullshit because that sells even if the script is shit

it was becoz that d opening was so good.

the trailer itself was pretty bad, i couldn't even pass off 1 minute though.

and it was trolled heavily on social media, the makers should have realized that they have made trash.

I tried to give it a chance and watched the film, the first 10 mins where AB rescues zafira are great, but when she grows up, and they launch their first attack, after that film becomes unbearable. they sold the film on aamir's name. where as the story belongs to fatima sana sheikh.

in tashan, he did the same mistake, the film was about kareena's revenge but Importance given to akshay and saif. these type of films were great in the 80's. Where Sridevi and Rekha would play avengers and people would love those too..but ab nahi

Fatima’s character was weak,she had no clue what was happening. Amitabh was her bodyguard but he had grown around the British overtaking everything and he was a real warrior who wanted to fight the British in their attempt to overtake his city/land. Aamir ‘s Character was of a person who could deceive anyone for his personal gain,and who later had a slight change in principles when he came across khudabaksh,amitabh character. Zafira on the other hand was just a part of khudabaksh’s troop who looked after her because he was the loyal head of her fathers kingdom and wanted to pay homage to his leader. So the story was not really about fatima because she mostly didn’t even know khudabaksh and firangi’s plan. Also she did not emote well in whatever scenes she had. Katrina’s character had some guts who let them be a part of her dance group with the angrez on a huge event where she knew they were absconding and could invite trouble by helping them out.

farangi malla was changing every 15 minutes.... he was deceiving and confusing the british and the resistance forces....in the end he ended up confusing the audience who rejected the movie lol

total flop...

It did. But the trailer sucked lol.

It’s not on my watchlist either. Pass.
