I'd like to disagree with you on this. An accusation was made on a popular actor by an actress few years back. And everybody, including me, believed her. I remember my nose twitching whenever I'd read this actor's tareefein. It turned out this actress was lying through her teeth. And she almost destroyed this actor's career. Tell me this: is it not blatantly sexist to blindly jump to the conclusion that the guy is wrong and the girl is right, always?

Is it not possible that the guy might be innocent? If he were innocent, would you sleep well at night after knowing you've partaken in destroying his livelihood and his reputation?

While am yet to see a single media person corner the woman for proof or call out her lies or even condemn her in strong words. Women get away with way worse all the time. I’m not going to run in circles with you on this. I think probability of a woman lying about assault is very rare and you think the opposite. Well said, hate this double standard especially since women always talk about being wanting to be treated equally (which is good and all) but then that only holds true when it's about positive stuff

I am still not so sure about this decision. I understand where AK is coming from but I am not fully convinced about this. My counter thought is that what if he is guilty - and then he does this film and it's a big hit and people continue to work with him even after he is found guilty. Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan have even gone to jail but people still work with them. Maybe yes he should live without a livelihood for some time...that way people who do sexual harassment will be scared to do it as they know they will lose their livelihood over it. No?

Exactly. In reality, girls are not believed. They simply tolerate. It's hard to prove these things sometimes too. How do I bring proof that this person touched me inappropriately or said inappropriate things ? You can't prove it. It's he said she said.

I also understand the flip side. Perfectly decent men are looked at with suspicion. Some women may use such things to gain something. It's not like all women are saints.

With all the attention on MeToo people are getting more aware which is a good thing. Hopefully we as society will get better at handling such cases and hopefully reduce the occurrence of harassment in reality.
