they do know, but audience will be off you say it's just a reboot, hence the "2", after the title.

Generally the cast of previous are not available, so they use the name of hit movie to make sequel..also writers are inept to continue the series

The only sequel in Bollywood where the story continues properly is Gangs of Wasseypur 2 I think.
