don't think I said that anywhere. Producers need to consider audience opinions too, even if they are the ones with money is the gist of what I said. I personally doubt that Shraddha saw it as anything objectionable during the making of movie, in fact she probably took it as a compliment. Unfortunately, she's more of an airhead in this regard. Unlike someone like say Anushka who would have taken a stand.

That's a regular thing we say to people we know, don't we? If you are pretty, you should be a heroine. It's taken as a compliment. But if you say that to a beautiful and talented woman at the workplace, it is almost like you are undermining her work performance and in essence making a pass at her, which constitutes as workplace harassment. Inappropriate touches, as depicted in movie and being accepted by other male colleagues is the bigger part of the problem.

This article comment is most likely made in context of rising crimes against indian women as well as inappropriate harassment at workplaces. More of, how these things fly under the radar in real life and not noticed until things become really bad and blown out of proportion. That's the way I read it, of how we don't notice issues when they are smaller to start off with (and easily addressed).

Of course, bollywood is the last place one can expect gender fairness or where women are treated with utmost respect or professionalism.

Meri problem ye hai ki why bollywood tries to make films on such chichora shitty people only, showing them as lead who r 'good at heart's. There r many decent men. But very few of the bollywood male lead characters r decent . Why bollywood's go to to potrayal of romance is this type of interaction, like in toilet ek prem Katha they had to show the love story a stalking n taking her pics without her knowing Wala, what was the harm in making it a sweet genuine love story? Not like chichore r underepresented in films or anything, phir kyun? Why glorify that chichorapanti even More? I blv a lot of be writers don't really know how to write love stories n r affected by the creepypanti they did during their time n thinks that's the right way that's the normal way sab aisehi romance krt honge

Prabhas's character, who is not really a policeman, has been shown as a chichora from the beginning, when he starts to flirt with a woman even when fight is going on.

Why will a chichora chor look at a good looking woman like Shraddha with colleague type respect. It's not like he was a police wala and movie showed that police wala looking at a hot colleague is okay.

Jabardasti ka attention seeking.

I think the author is saying that the other policemen were shown getting amused or even encouraging this behaviour of Prabhas' character. That is bothersome for them. In their eyes, he was a policeman.

only one character, played by comedian Vennela Kishore was cheering for him, and his character was too shown as a good for nothing comedy act who was basically acting like a chamcha of a big officer(Prabhas). You know how guys do, dekho bhabhi aa rahi hai. And this happened actually after both sides were showing interest, before that it was the "arrey yeh phir suru hogaya" wala reaction by Vennela too.

All i said heroines very well know the scenes in the script. If they don't put stop to it, then who will?

Because producers are not going to change from their side

They sure do read and sign on the dotted line, if they feel it is demeaning then they can refuse. I am sure many have refused whatever goes against their belief.

My personal op: People take everything to extremes. The day ALL men stop looking at ALL women without appreciation, love, like, lust etc... (the way nature intended) then you can say radicalism has won and the human race will either incubate hatchling humans in capsules, just for the sake of procreating or cease to exist.

Animals continue to follow their nature since the beginning of time, and all species would have sustained if it was not for their worse predators: humans and their radicalisms.

Okay but did anyone take it seriously as harassment? That's the point probably that this kind of flirtation is so normalised and that it should be shown as wrong in the movies. So, the other officers should've condemned it instead of ignoring it or encouraging it.

Ab dekho, agar ek aadma getting attracted to a beautiful woman is nowadays seen as harassment, toh usme mai kuch nahi kar sakta.

Arey tum hadd kar rahe ho yaar. Anjs ne apni post mein specific scenes bataye hain where a senior is undermining his junior because he's attracted to her or staring at her etc. Now, he might be a chor, but the others don't know this. Toh unko kuchh kehna chahiye tha, movie mein aisa show hona chahiye ki wo galat hai. Ye point samajh nahi aa raha tumhe? Oversimplify karke kuchh bhi mat bolo.

The thing is everyone in the police room underestimated her because she was a woman, from her officers, Shraddha's character was always removed from the cases, before Sahoo gave her importance and saved her from getting removed from the case.

Also the writer didn't point out that Sahoo was undermining everyone, not just Shraddha's character, he wasn't listening to anyone's suggestions. It wasn't like he was ignoring her, he was ignoring everyone drinking beer, reading books, manipulating Shraddha's character and so on, anytime some one in the team made a suggestions/opinion, he would just lazily fool around and than give them a counter. He wasn't like that with just Shraddha, and everyone else in the department always discriminated Shraddha's character. That was the situation, which the writer didn't grasped.

The writer also didn't wrote how Sahoo lost to Shraddha's character in table football, after he tells it is not women's game.

The writer simply forget to mention that in the movie, Shraddha's character was shown as a character who was marginalised by everyone in the movie because of her being a female. It was just that Sahoo used her by giving her importance that others in the department didn't.

attraction doesn't mean objectification or harrasment though. What's written in the article I as a woman will count as harassment specially at workplace.

Also if we go by primal evolutionary behaviours, monogamy doesn't make any sense either n except humans very very few species have it n they're not even that strict about it. Also in animal world Killing kids of other males n their kids to stop their genes from passing on is done too,ab woh vi Kare Kya. There's nothing wrong in getting attracted to someone who's goodlooking , but passing comments wagera not cool. We're not primal animals , there's a reason we HV been to space while the other species can't even drive
