Saaho Has A Solid Monday

Saaho (Hindi) has recorded solid collections on Monday which look to be in the 14 crore nett range. It was a part holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi which has helped push the numbers. The drop from the first day is around 45% but a circuit like East Punjab where it is a normal day has dropped much more and this can be the actual scenario in the other circuits also if it was not a holiday.

Also North is least receptive of South films so the drop in East Punjab can be for that also and the film may hold better in Mumbai / Gujarat post the holiday. This takes the collections of the film to a huge 93 crore nett in four days and one thing is sure that the film is definitely not a disaster as the trade had expected. Going by the numbers in the North it may not be a HIT if the rest of the country followed the same pattern tomorrow but the Hindi version at least is a success for sure.

The collections on Monday are huge again in Mumbai and Gujarat with the circuit looking to be around 6 crore nett. The four day numbers are in the same range as 2.0 though that was a Thursday release so Monday is not included in thefirst four days of that film.

The Monday collections will also be the second best of the year after Kabir Singh.

Saaho grossed a huge 190 crore nett apprx in the first three days though the collections from South are big but probably not as per expectations as the drops are there. The film has done better business in Odisha than Kerala, Bihar is more than Tamil Nadu and North has done more than Karnataka / Mysore which pretty much tells the story and the compared South circuits should have done more the Hindi ones.

The comparative figures for 2.0 were 155 crore nett but the holds are not likely to be as strong as that film which held up well in Hindi Circiuts, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. In the hindi circuits it has beaten Bharat in Mumbai, East Punjab and Odisha. In the Hindi belts of UP, MP, Rajasthan and Bihar it would have beaten Bharat also but Bharat had Eid holidays in those places so they remain strong for the first 3 days. The all India collections of Saaho for the weekend are as follows.

Saaho Comes Down Post The Monday Holiday

Saaho (Hindi) saw a drop in collections on Tuesday which was sort of expected as it collected in the 7-8 crore nett range. The holiday factor had kept its collections up on Monday but Tuesday has fallen around 40-50% from Monday.

The film will have collections in the 100 crore nett range after five days and is probably looking at a first week of 110 crore nett which is good but obviously the trend is not there to do much in the second week. The collections dropped all over on Tuesday but because of the biog start some places like Gujarat, Odisha and Bihar are still collecting good numbers.

Despite the drop the Hindi version is the only one which will be a success while all the South versions are finding it tough going. Telugu is good but not up to the expectations of the market which is the local market. The Hindi circuits will have a GROSS of 120 crore as against the GROSS of 105 crore in Nizam / Andhra over the first five days and it remains to seen which one has the best final figures.
