Initially, I had same thoughts about paridhi.but, that daru Wala scene where she tried to stop him, the way both actors were one on one... I realized it's not about the actor, it's the writing.

We all agreed that it's hard to match anirudh , but for me, paridhi was equally brilliant in that scene. I realized that open acting is bit easy than restricted one. I am not taking any credit away from anirudh, but his character writing is more open where he can freely act. That is his domain and which is appreciate d by all. Whereas paridhi character is made restricted which is hard to enact. Imagine you have to be all shy, crying, restricted with action ,emotions against a character who is given freedom.

All characters you quoted are free in their expressions ; be it NB in her gallis or scolding, minni, mickey, khatri etc. That day ,I felt , paridhi is doing best as an underdog character which is really hard to do in this lot.

Yes, I forgot to mention this daru wala scene in my post earlier. In that scene, she was brilliant. Near the door, when HS and Babita have arguments, and also when she's trying to stop HS from drinking, they way she comes down with attitude, loved it, HS ko takkar de rahi thi.

I see what you are saying about restricted acting. Maybe thats why some people seem to be more sympathetic towards HS and Min's character. You are right, Paridhi's character is very restricted, in terms of showing her emotions, her desires. And waise bhi, people tend to like the loud, bindaas character more than the subdued, restricted ones. I agree, its not the actor, its the writing that have faltered somewhere, though i feel writers are very good with most of the things they show, but they have somehow failed here, and many were disappointed because of it.

I don't know if I should say it but in one of the interview, Paridhi sounds very unconvincing of the track and her character's role in it (it was during Imarti track). Maybe she felt the character HS and Mini were given much more importance in that track than the character Babita and I can see why she felt that way. Nonetheless, I think the actors are well aware of what the audience thinks, thats why in that fb segment also they mention the audience's narazgi with somethings. Also, the recent SBS segment, Paridhi clarifies that Mini is not Kabab mein haddi, I think they are aware how audience were not liking Mini coming in between HS and Babita. Idk maybe I am overthinking.

See this is what I was alluding to though I am not aware of the interview you are referring to. There could be some segments she is unable to relate to which leaves her unconvinced.

Anyway I promise to rewatch episodes as soon as I get the time.

She can be told to ignore them but it's not possible. There will be some days when Babes will be successful in ignoring them and minding her own business but then there will also be times when it's hard.

It sucks that she had to hear all this right before her marriage but in a way it's good since we're dealing with all these issues now.

i still think they should have had a family n friends only wedding. All types of people coming in and going some who do not even know their past backgrounds & commenting is a big put off. the pandit & the parlour girls spcly. khatri ko to aadat hai hai people have got used to him

For that Babita needs to make her sit down and make her understand that she is no longer naive & does not need her constant mothering. like the way mickey did a few days back. but for her to get it it has to be babita who needs to make her understand

For that to happen, Babita also needs to understand that Minnie needs to be a kid now. She had the perfect opportunity to do so in today's episode. Instead, Babes was worried how she might not be able to do such a good job in Minnie's wedding. Which now that I look back at, is... what??? 😕

The balance is off between these two. I don't mind Minnie helping Babes out but it should be in doses and limits. Right now, Minnie is on the higher pedestal due to her constant mothering while Babes is the kid looking up at her. If Babes feels inspiration from Minnie, then that's great but she shouldn't feel inferior to her.

I also agree with you in that Minnie needs that verbal release. Babes needs to let Minnie go and live out her life on her own terms.

Agreed. Only invite people who you know. Pure mohalle ko bolane ki kya zaroorat hai.

In the case of musicians and dancers, I understand since they liven things up more than just the family members, but still. Close family and friends should have been the way to go.

Speaking of which, we haven't seen HS' side of the family. I hope we get to see some of them during the wedding!

Yes! With the first scene I agreed. She went overboard. But with all reasons you have pointed, that makes her a kid. That's what HS said. She is still in phase k mujhay babes ki hifazat karni, she is naive, there is nobody apart from me for her. She has to come out from this phase and that's what mickey quoted to have own life.

Actually, she is a kid whose only focus is her mother. Kuch Socha hi nahi usky ilawa. That's why ,she start behaving as a mother( which I agree is not right). Now with this wedding ,she will have time to think about her life ,k ab babes k lye koi hai...ya babes khud bhi dhayan rakh skti.

She's a kid who's growing up. It's best if she starts focusing on other things than just her mother. Otherwise it can get out of hand very quick.

For that she really needs HS and NB's support, so that she can feel she doesn't need to look after her mother 24/7. I think when the wedding ceremony is over she will feel relieved because right now she's on tenterhooks that any moment things might be called off.

Agreed. And I think Babita's mood swings are also affecting her a lot. She has no idea what will tick Babes off and make her want to stop the wedding. First it was the mohalle wale, then HS and Poonam, and now this thing that's eating away at her. 🤔

But can it be Babita who gives her support to Mini rather than NB or HS. Yes, they can too but I really want Babita to understand whats been going through Mini's mind. Its kinda disappointing that writers are showing Babita to not even understand or feel where her daughter is coming from. Which is why I was so happy when she kept aside some slices of pizza the other day for minnie because at the end of the day she is still a mother who cares for her daughter.

I feel both Babita and Mini need to live their independent life, not go around sacrificing for each other, but be very much part of each other's life and be there for each other. I was watching the holi episode, where Babita realizes that Mini will have other relations in her life without Babita in it and Babita needs to realize that give Mini the space to create those relationships. But, NB points out that why just Mini, even Babita will need to live her own life outside of Mini. I thought that was brilliant. I want that back. Here it just seems like Mini is the "sacrificing goat" doing everything for her mother, and Babita is the baby who needs constant care from Mini. I am getting disappointed seeing this tbh.
