I see what you are saying about restricted acting. Maybe thats why some people seem to be more sympathetic towards HS and Min's character. You are right, Paridhi's character is very restricted, in terms of showing her emotions, her desires. And waise bhi, people tend to like the loud, bindaas character more than the subdued, restricted ones. I agree, its not the actor, its the writing that have faltered somewhere, though i feel writers are very good with most of the things they show, but they have somehow failed here, and many were disappointed because of it.

I don't know if I should say it but in one of the interview, Paridhi sounds very unconvincing of the track and her character's role in it (it was during Imarti track). Maybe she felt the character HS and Mini were given much more importance in that track than the character Babita and I can see why she felt that way. Nonetheless, I think the actors are well aware of what the audience thinks, thats why in that fb segment also they mention the audience's narazgi with somethings. Also, the recent SBS segment, Paridhi clarifies that Mini is not Kabab mein haddi, I think they are aware how audience were not liking Mini coming in between HS and Babita. Idk maybe I am overthinking.

I respect what you said but I didn't mean k paridhi's character is flawed writing. I love her for being goofy😂😅 around HS and minni.

Its kinda disappointing that writers are showing Babita to not even understand or feel where her daughter is coming from. Which is why I was so happy when she kept aside some slices of pizza the other day for minnie because at the end of the day she is still a mother who cares for her daughter.

I feel both Babita and Mini need to live their independent life, not go around sacrificing for each other, but be very much part of each other's life and be there for each other. I was watching the holi episode, where Babita realizes that Mini will have other relations in her life without Babita in it and Babita needs to realize that give Mini the space to create those relationships. But, NB points out that why just Mini, even Babita will need to live her own life outside of Mini. I thought that was brilliant. I want that back. Here it just seems like Mini is the "sacrificing goat" doing everything for her mother, and Babita is the baby who needs constant care from Mini. I am getting disappointed seeing this tbh.

It should be. Outside support is important as it offers you various perspectives, but having a parental support means everything. It gives you the courage to chase your dreams without any doubts or hesitation.

I wonder how much of that has to do with Babita's own relationship with her mother. If she didn't open up to her mom about certain issues, then Babes might not know how to bring them up. But then again, given their history, Babes should feel free to ask Minnie whatever she wants, whenever she wants. 🤔

Well, the characters are truly human in that way. It's easy to philosophize and say how things should be but much harder to actually act upon them. Especially when they haven't been in the habit of living that way. They just need to start acting rather than thinking. Babita had never worked a day in her life and now she has her own business. Try telling her to go back to her own life and she'll just tell you to eff off. 😆

All the dynamics are gonna change with this wedding and it'll be interesting to see how they all adjust to it.

She will one day, but before that she needs to go through her own journey, as HS said. Only then will she be strong enough to take care of Minnie's emotional needs not just physical ones like feeding her or cooking for her, etc. Until then HS and NB will be there, which is a good thing, I guess. Otherwise, Minnie will feel lonely.

I know what you mean here, but HS is her parental support and NB her grandparental support. 😃

I also think that now that HS is in her life, he should and would also share some of the responsibilities of parenting Minnie because one, he has missed out on her childhood, and two she needs both parents. Babita has been with her for so many years, and now it's healthy for Minnie to get a father's love from HS to fill some of the void that a Babita can't.

Today's episode made me feel even more strongly that HS' love for Babita is in great part because of his connection to Minnie. He loves Babita as a co-parent too. Dunno if that makes sense.

Is no one going to mention Minnie's embarrassment at not knowing what saubhagyavati meant and how HS picked up on it?

As usual, teaching her new vocab. 😆

Oh no, I get that and I didn't mean to place HS or Naeem Bi in the "other" category. But having Babes' support and approval is different. I feel like a lot of Minnie's own insecurities and identity is wrapped up in being Babe's mother. It harkens back to what the therapist said. Helping Babes out and feeling important in her life is what makes Minnie happy and it gives her a sense of purpose. Take that away, then what does she have? It's going to be really tough but Minnie needs to break that motherly connection with Babes.

I think HS will help give Minnie her independence as well. Maybe help her apply for that college again or chase her dreams via different methods? Whatever she needs to do, HS will be there for her. It'll be a very delicate matter, handling the storm of emotions the two women will undoubtedly go through, but I think he can manage it.

But isnt that unfair to Babita and HS? That Babita is an avenue for him to connect to Mini's or be a parent to Minnie, or that HS is a father figure to Mini. Shouldn't the main reason for them to come together be because they love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. Of course, Mini's great bonding with HS gives Babita the assurance that her daughter will not suffer because of her 2nd marriage and that she shall still remain a priority in her life. Idk if that makes sense.

In essence, Minnie needs to cut the umbilical cord at some point.

He can manage it, and I think he is wise and smart enough to do so. What he said about Babita also applies to Minnie, in that both have scars that can be healed by love and more love, which he has an abundance of. I found it interesting that he spoke of learning about unconditional love from Minnie because I think his love has always been that way, especially for Minnie. I am wondering if this is referring to something about him that we don't know yet.
