Amazing movie. Loved it. John Abraham did gud. He is gud in these brooding type of roles. Anyways the story and direction wss gud. I dont know why people said it is skow. The pace nice. It actually keeps u guessing what will happen next specially when nobody followed Batla case after few days. I know how media was hell bent on making it a fake one which was bullsh*t. They didnt even care about the dead police man- Mohan Sharma. They kept claiming it fake.

When good they made a movie and showed some truth specially by including real facts. Sonia ji aashu and nizam ka Azam- they showed the dirtiest politics there.

The last clip which was real proved that Batla helped in stopping terror attacks in Delhi.

It has a lot of propaganda. But I loved Saki Saki and Nora in it. Otherwise it was entertaining for the most part.

Mission Mangal is a SUPER HIT film as collections went up on its second Friday due to Janmashtami. The minor holiday gave the film a good boost. It was the same for Batla House which also went up on its second Friday. The fact that there was little competition barring The Angry Birds 2 which had poor collections also helped the cause of both films. The apprx early estimates for the second Friday are as follows.

Batla House: 3.75-4 crore

Mission Mangal - 7.25-7.50 crore

Saturday Update: Batla House And Mangal Mission

Mangal Mission and Batla House showed big growth on Saturday as Janmashtami holiday continued on Saturday. There were parst of India which had a restricted holiday on Friday and other parts were on holiday on Saturday. Some places saw two consecutive days of holidays like Gujarat.

This has meant solid jumps for both films as Mission Mangal should be in the 12-13 crore nett range while Batla House should collect 5.50-6 crore. The Janmashtami factor and the open week has really benefited both films on Friday and Saturday as collections would be much lower otherwise.

Mission Mangal has recorded huge numbers in Gujarat on its second Friday and Saturday and the figures on Saturday in the state are probably only bettered by around 5 films in history for the second Saturday. They are better than Kabir Singh which had the best second Saturday in Gujarat / Saurashta so far this year and this is a film which is not really for this circuit.

Batla House like Mission Mangal also showed a big jump on Saturday around 60% and this two day Janmashtami benefit is big plus for this film. Mission Mangal was doing very well anyway so the 6-7 crore nett extra that Janmashtami has given hardly matters much in the long run but for Batla House that 3-4 crore extra can make the difference between a HIT and SEMI HIT film.

The film is now probably looking to be HIT film as the film will probably finish more towards that 90 crore nett zone rather than the 80 crore nett zone. Its looking to do business similar to Manikarnika - Queen Of Jhansi and De De Pyaar De but this film has lower costs than those two films. The drop on Monday could be higher than normal and that will probably tell where the film will go.

Batla House Has Good Second Weekend

Batla House did good business in the second weekend as it collected 16.75 crore nett. Its a good number for the film and is higher than many of the successful films of 2019 be it De De Pyaar De, Luka Chuppi or Bharat. Janmashtami has helped the second weekend and this has come as a big bonus to the film.

The film has now collected over 75 crore nett in 11 days and as long as the second Monday does not go down badly it will be a HIT film and thats a very good final result considering how the film opened in its mornings shows last Thursday. It looked a huge uphill task to score especially with the competition of a stronger film but the film has come through.

Batla House Does Good Business In Week Two

Batla House had a good second week of 23.50 crore nett and took its it two week total to 83 crore nett and is a HIT film. The drop in the second week is just 60% and that is taking the extended eight day first week with a a huge national holiday on day one so its a strong trend.

It was hugely helped by the open week and the weekend collections boosted by Janmashtami in the second week and with Saaho releasing today there will be a huge drop in collections but the job is done and the film has worked in the bigger centres. The clash has worked its favour as the film as they film would have had no chance of doing this sort of business had it released on a normal day even with a solo release.

The second week collections are the tenth best of the year and pretty much similar to films liek Bharat and Gully boy which were 24 crore nett apprx and 25 crore nett apprx respectively. The film has comfortably crossed the business of the highest John Abraham solo starrer Satyameva Jayate which did around 80 crore nett last year. Batla House saw a big drop in collections due to the competition as it collected 50 lakhs nett apprx on its third Friday. The drop was expected with the release of Saaho and the film will not add much now but the job is done and the film is HIT.
