At least she is back to sarees. I prefer that to the western clothes (as long as someone else is wearing them, sorry Shrenu 😆). But I really have a thing against this whole “shadishuda” women have to wear saree mindset of the designers. As atrocious as the clothes were in IB, at least they didn’t stick to that rule there. A few months of DBO/IB is the only encounter I’ve had with ITV in the past few years, sorry if I missed other shows where they haven’t followed this pattern.

Yeah, most shows follow this pattern of saree after wedding in itv.

I find ironical that almost 90% of Zain fans hate that he's in Ek bhram, and yet its his casting as Kabir that kinda ruined the show.

If they had taken some side actor for Kabir, since the character had less to do, then they wouldn't have jacked up the show to make a Pooja-Kabir pair, that slaughtered Jahnvi's character and the storyline.

Now Zain is getting Beyhadh, while all the criticism for EBSS's failure will be on Shrenu, because first half of the show focused on her/Jahnvi.

Ugh Shrenu has the worst luck in the itv industry.

I hadn’t thought about that. How true. This is not a slight at Zain in any way, but if only the makers had shown some sense in proper casting. So many other things went wrong as well, starting with the time slot, and the channel of course.

I honestly do believe it’s mostly Shrenu fans that actually watch the show. Everyone should be thankful to her, without her the show wouldn’t even have fetched as much trp.

Actually, I think even half of Shrenu fans didn't watch the show. Cos I remember from Rikara days that her fans used to be nearly three times the number. In the IB forum itself, after Kunal/Omkara, Shrenu/Gauri had the highest number of ATs and she had joined the show only in 2017, 8 months after IB started.

Most of the people on twitter who are still watching the show, I don't recognize, these are all new people. Most of the talented vm makers, editors, who made fabulous edits of Gauri aren't watching.

I think maybe in her next show, whenever she gets one, hopefully better script and execution and all, most of her fans would come back.

That I agree with. I came into the DBO fandom with Mansi - her Do dil bandhe dori se was the last show I had watched on ITV - I tried to be happy for her and really tried to enjoy the show ugh, it’s a touchy topic, and I digress. Anyway, I made a few friends in the fandom, almost all of them ardent RiKara fans and fans of Gauri/Shrenu too. But none of them is watching this show. I don’t blame the fans, nobody should be forced to watch stuff they have no interest in, even if it has your favorite actor.

@Bold: fingers crossed! I already feel bad the way Tanvi was kicked out and left jobless, I don’t want to see that happening with anyone else on the show. But at the same time, I want them to get strong/popular roles too, not just a job. Hopefully Shrenu gets her due soon. She deserves nothing less.

Agreed. Even if a show is good, fans can't be expected to watch it, because not everything is a/c to everyone's taste, interests, etc. And here the show became trash after revamp.

What happened to Tanvi was sad, it kinda happened to NehaLaxmi too in IB, when Soumya was unceremoniously replaced with Bhavya. But thats a different story.

The point is producers and channels need to be careful with casting decisions and everything. I know ITV demands overnight changes, but dumping actors like Star does on a routine basis isn't cool.

EBSS could have saved itself all the casting blunders if they had taken a side actor to play Kabir. Or they could have paired Kabir-Jahnvi from the start. Their miscasting just ended up wasting Tanvi's time and poor girl got so much hate too.

I'll be honest I wasn't interested Kavya-Kabir, but Tanvi got bashed a lot even before the show started by some fans. Comparitively I think Shrenu got bashed less by the same set of fans.

guys 2 things i would like to say

1. Dont feel bad that she wont get instead keep the buzz alive like rikara fandom did for shrenu and adiza for zain it works

2. the thing which is in our hand is try to msg/dm the PH for casting shrenu that also works but the main is keep alive the buzz of shrenu on twitter

They did Neha/Saumya dirty, didn’t they? Unceremoniously ousted, then to add insult to injury, brought back in a totally different avatar. I was quite worried the same would happen in ebss with Kavya too - suddenly negative because the plot demands so, and a catalyst for JaBir. While I hate Mansi/Bhavya was bashed so much (well the track was atrocious too, let’s be honest), I understand the feeling of betrayal all too well.

Kabir having not much to do pissed off a lot of his fans, no doubt. Did the showrunners really think just having the actor is enough? I think they put all their effort on Jahnvi, that everyone and everything around her was left unpolished. You know I haven’t been shy about my love for YaBir, but even I couldn’t stand the continuous trip-catch-fall scenes. Gimme scenes like those last few days before the revamp over forced eye locks any day. Coincidentally, that was the last time we saw Kabir, the good guy too. Sigh!

Shrenu is very mature the way she handles trolls or fans in general, very level-headed.Tanvi did the blunder of admitting being bullied, and that got the stans even more riled.

Don't watch the show. Its not worth it. They have totally ruined it.

We are already hoping for Shrenu's next show, wishing she gets a new one soon.
