I never cared for him. He is an actor who simply does not exists for me.

John has an interesting filmography, while he has done tonnes of shit movies, but he also movies like Water, No Smoking, Madras Cafe, Taxi No 9211 and recently the likes of Parmanu and Batla House.

He is not at all a good actor, actually quite terrible when roles are expressive, but he does well in roles where he has to play small or not be an expressive person.

I like him, after Akki, him and Emraan are the only ones whom I consider kinda semi favorites.

I didn't forgot Garam Masala, was just talking about movies which were not that popular along with recent ones.

Although I have guilty pleasures like Force, I me aur main and Jhoota hi sahi lol, which I can watch many times.

I actually love Force. It's my guilty pleasure too. I loved his and Genilia's chemistry along with the action scenes between him and Vidyut.

@bold I cannot agree more. I also think he acts better when he has someone to support and compliment. His comic timing with Akki is always on point. I liked their chemistry in Garam Masala. I also feel that he gets appreciated for Dostana mostly because of his body display and also because the other actor was Abhishek who made him look even better.😆

My take- Acha banda hai, down to earth. Kaam se kaam rakhne wala. Good guy.

Well he has lately been on a winning streak with Parmanu, Satyamev Jayate and now Batla House emerging success. Even then, I don't know whether he can still be considered an A-lister. He is surely above some of his contemporaries like Abhishek or Emraan and is surely having a better run than youngsters like Arjun and Sidharth.

I think a solo 100 crore grosser can really push him among the top in the league. At this point, he is doing fine with medium budget action or patriotic films.

I don't think he is considered as A-lister but he surely is doing way better than his contemporaries as you mentioned. Is Shahid a contemporary? I still remember he and Bips were pitched against Shahid and Kareena at that time.

but Abhishek carried that movie though. He was absolutely riot in that one.
