Without Salman Katrina would be nowhere. He did give unconditional support to her. Even when she was failing in recently years she went back to Salman. That is a Godfather in the industry and it does help. To Katrina’s credit she did click with the audience but you can’t deny Salman’s support.

Why are u mocking Katrina as if PC never had sugar daddies? Aseem Merchant, Akshay, SRK to name a few. Katrina may not be talented acting wise, but public connected with her n her dances became a rage. Katrina had a golden run with hardly any flops so much that YRF wud cast her just for good luck. Don't forget Katrina is a foreigner who made it Big in a foreign country without any knowledge of the place, language or culture. U would know how tough it is to succeed in a new country. PC is doing fake marriage with Jonas just to do the same in Hollywood right now. Atleast Katrina actually dated Salman for years.

B/w 2003 and on, it seems priyanka was doing the same amount of films as kareena, but really cemented a place when she did fashion. Just analyzing her filmography, that seemed to be a turning point in her career cause her work got progressively way better from there on with dostana, barfi after that. So you are saying kareena got more chances or better films in general in comparison to priyanka before fashion?

What I'm saying is that Kareena kept on getting chances despite continuous Flops. They weren't really better films since they ended up being failures. Fashion wasn't even a clean Hit.

Priyanka, Deepika, alia or.. whatever, ppl wouldn't even bat an eyelid as long as their jigar ke tukde "next superstar" gets enough credit for the "hit".. I don't know why ppl even pretend to care.. because at the end of the day, all that matters is that "the khans" (whatever khan) is bigger than the rest.. Akshay is a bigger star than bla bla khan "currently".. One of the Ran-something is bigger than everyone else, and everything else can go f itself.. a whole decade of "cinema" is credited to "one superstar" person! No wonder, no one really takes bollywood, sorry, "indian" cinema seriously!

PC turning point was not Fashion. It was Aitraaz. That film made people notice her acting skills. She was doing films with Sunny deol, Akshay etc but she was yet to make it to the Top star league n was still struggling most of the time. Her competition used to be Lara Dutta back then.

But, after Aitraaz, she was selected for Krish as a leading heroine opposite the Top star n heartthrob of that time, Hrithik. (Ash was the first choice but she was busy with international projects. Also, Rakesh Roshan needed someone who cud act but cud also give many dates as he was attempting a High risk Superhero genre for first time and he was also not sure how long the shoot will take). That film n it's success straight away brought her to Top list and led to her growing popularity as a Leading heroine in Big budget projects. This was mentioned even in her biography. She then did Don opposite another biggie, SRK.

PC was definitely way ahead of Kareena in many ways.

Actually that makes more sense...b/c it looks to me that neither of the two were more privileged necessarily. Priyanka was still getting pretty good work early on. She may have had less industry support, but she was doing some big films like you mentioned.
