As someone on the forum has already pointed out, Babita has a one-track mind. Ek cheez pakad li toh bas uske baare mein hi obsess karna hai. She cannot look beyond that obsession to understand the other person's point of view. Aaj bhi wohi hua. How else can anyone miss the look of utter hurt in Hanuman's eyes?

I also think it has something to with the fact that I can't relate to the characters given their current status in life. I'm neither a mother or wife. Well, this is the point of such shows and plot lines. They make you think outside of your comfort zone and re-evalute how you view things. If there's any confusion you can come and discuss with us too so we can also see your perspective. I love this forum and all the lovely people here. 😃

The exact same thing happened this time around with HS. He wanted her to make the first move, while she wanted it to be him. As you said, being nurturing and taking care of the family are good qualities, but Babes had to provide something to Ashok beyond that.

Babes had once said that Ashok had never given her the opportunity to see her imperfections. It can also be said that she never took the chance to put them on display either.

I was trying to sit and bear it while she was doing all that, but when she put her hand out to ask for her earrings back, I was like 😡

In fact, it almost looked like HS had that nano-second of hesitation about giving them in the sense that were they really hers, with the intention he had bought them?

Timing is a major issue. They should have let things die down for a bit and remained as friends before attempting to be romantic partners. They may be right for each other, but it doesn't have to be right now. They can wait it out and let the other grow. And if it is real, then they work their way towards it.
