Why is nobody caring about curfew in Rajasthan? heard situation there is worse than J&K. Internet is banned in Jaipur since last week or so.

Curfew has been imposed in Malpura town of Tonk district in Rajasthan after clashes between kanwaria and members of a minority community erupted on Thursday.

Tension continued in Tonk district after a tiranga yatra by BJP was cancelled. Stones were hurled and a vehicle and a shop were set on fire in yesterday's clash.

The station officer of Malpura has imposed Section 144 of the CrPC to prevent crowds from gathering.

"An unruly mob gathered in the town and torched a shop. We dispersed them and curfew was imposed," Additional SP Goverdhan Sekaria said.

Members of a minority community had attacked kanwariyas while they were passing through a Muslim-dominated area in Malpura on Thursday.

The violent incident involving kanwariyas in Delhi was mentioned in the Supreme Court by Attorney General KK Venugopal on August 10 who said "riots and protests" are happening in one or another part of the country almost every week and senior police officers should be held accountable by court.

"Kanwariyas are overturning vehicles in Delhi. When the film 'Padmavat' was to be released, one group gave open threat that it will cut the nose of the lead actress. Nothing has happened. No FIR," Venugopal told the bench which also comprised justices AM Khanwilkar and DY Chandrachud

But this is of tonk district no? So is this problem connected to jaipur or is jaipur one separate? Although tonk is just an hour and a half i guess from jaipur.
