Aamir Khan, the powerhouse performer has gone from strength to strength during a colourful film career spanning 20 years. He has been always in the spotlight for his unique movies. Aamir Khan celebrates his 43rd birthday today.
We list down Aamir Khan's best performances…
1.'Taare Zameen Par': It is one of the most natural films with a sensitive subject. Almost everybody can identify with characters in the film. Be it the character of Ishan Awasthy enacted by Darsheel Safary or the teacher or his parents, all look real. 'Taare Zameen Par' for many was a dose of reality from their past. It was also a rare success because Indian audiences have not been really appreciative of children's flicks. Aamir had the courage to take up a subject like dyslexia and put across a strong message through his celluloid creation. In the process, he moulded Darsheel into an excellent performer. It will always be remembered as one of the best movies of 2007. Hats off to Mr. Perfect for a perfect film!
2.'Ghulam': The Vikram Bhatt thriller 'Ghulam' ranks as one of Aamir Khan's best performances. He dons the role of a tapori learning how to survive in the big bad world of crime. The movie has a captivating plot and one of the high points of the flim was Aamir's 'dus dus ki daud' (Aamir runs towards a train and jumps off at the last moment!!!!!).'Ghulam' also sees him
sharing a sparkling chemistry with Rani Mukherjee.

3.'Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar': An unforgettable film! Aamir as a lover boy and the spirit of competition among college students portrayed in the film kept viewers glued to their seats. The brilliant movie has Aamir portraying the character of a carefree guy who wants to prove a point to the world. The captivating plot had the audience in its hold. The movie is a perfect mix of drama, comedy, romance. The songs 'Rooth ke hum se kabhi' and 'Pehla Nasha' would always be lovers' favourite songs.
4. 'Rang De Basanti': A perfect mix of youth and patriotism saw 'Rang De Basanti' striking a chord with one and all. Aamir Khan led a group of young rebels to avenge the death of their friend. It made the youth of today realise what they could do to make a difference in this corrupt world. The message is subtle at first, but echoes piercingly before it reaches its end.

5. 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak': Aamir Khan announced his arrival in Bollywood with 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. He become the boy next door with his portrayal of a teenager mad-in-love. It is about a star-crossed young couple from traditional feuding families a la 'Romeo and Juliet'. The young lovers elope and are chased by their parents. In the end, they die and make their love immortal. Songs of the film like 'Papa kehte hain', 'Ae mere humsufur' and 'Akele hain to kya ghum hai' are memorable.

personally i think sarfarosh,dil chahta hai and andaaz apna apna should come before ghulam...what about lagaan???
