Isn't it unfair?

HI everyone. I am a regular follower of patiala babes and thus forum. I started watching this show a while back and fell in love with the concept, direction and acting specially Aniruddh and Ashnoors's. I enjoy reading all the posts here and would like to say few words regarding the current track.

I have been reading the discussions regarding current track. I find Babitha' s reaction was self centered and was done to satisfy only her ego and not about her self respect. I agree the way Hanuman pointed fingers at her character was wrong. But hadn't she questioned his intentions when he gifted camera to Minnie? But he didn't throw her out of his house . Instead he tried to understand her fears and continued to respect her in the same way as before. He didn't even use single inappropriate word while defending himself. And now when he needs her support most she forgets everything he has done for her and walks away just like that? And top of that accuses him of culpable homicide? All this while she never asked him how Imarti died or how he coped with the loss of his love. On the other hand he has always asked her about her problems and tried to help in every way possible without hurting her self respect. I find this behavior highly unacceptable and unfair to HS.

One more thing I observed is when Ashok was accused of drug peddling she never believed it eventhough he had previously cheated on her and left her and her daughter on streets. But now she believes or pretends to believe HS could kill Imarti just to hurt him. No matter what she does now she can't redeem herself in my eyes.

Yes, whatever Hanuman said to Babita was wrong... attacking her character like that was just not okay, whatever the intention might have been. Like Mini said, he hurt her below the belt and she has every right to be mad/upset with him. Maybe Babita shouldn't have left the house. Maybe She should have tried to find out why HS acted that way with her... however, I can understand where Babita is coming from. She's been hurt in the past by someone she thought was the closest to her, and whenever HS questioned her character, she was triggered by the incident that happened with Ashok (though I agree that you can't compare what Ashok said with what HS said).. but nevertheless, she was triggered by it. Leaving the haveli might have been an impulse reaction on her part, but she has every right to feel whatever she feels... no one can tell her to not feel a certain way.

I also don't think she believes that Hanuman is responsible for Imarti's death. Yes, she uttered the word "culpable homicide" in front of HS/Mini and Dadu/Beeji... however that might just be her processing this whole issue. She clearly left because of what HS said (as per the flashback she has while talking to mini), and not because she believes he's the culprit. Even when Mini asks him "do you trust HS or not", she doesn't respond.. she clearly doesn't believe he killed Imarti, she's just hurt by his words currently. She will come around once she internalizes the whole thing and thinks about it rationally.

Babita will be the biggest support of HS during this court case, and this track is just to bring Hanita closer to each other 😊.

I agree that she has taken a impulsive reaction without thinking rationally. She is too emotional by nature she got hurt by words of HS and bcoz of this she left without thinking much about all these. She was unable to calculate the things, the meaning and result of her actions. But when she will realise what is going arround her and the real intention of HS, why he said such things to her, she will understand him, she will understand how much he cares for them, she will surely support him.

Yes Babita so far in the show has been self absorbed.. thinking only about herself in any situation she has been.. Minnie on other hand is one character which does right thing irrespective of self interest .To think of it both Minnie and Babita heard what HS said ..next morning both get to know case files...yes Minnie had known it earlier agreed but still if Babita could just use common sense that Minnie used.. she could have understood where HS behavior last night came from.. but still she has to consider herself first and think about her feelings first.. so that knee jerk reaction was kind of expected, considering she has done so in past too with HS and also with Minnie.

Totally agreed with you on point about Babita had also doubted HS intention of gifting camera..and HS took it so lightly giving it back to her . Indeed what HS said was unfair ..she could have fought with him over it.. even slapped him..I wudnt have mind that .. but she chose to escape..and that's one thing about her character which is disappointing

Likewise, of course. Now the thing is, I want to see what she does going forward. If this becomes a pattern then I won't have much patience. As a woman and as someone who has had experience with an abusive marriage I have been for Babita since the beginning but if she doesn't want to help herself, no one can.

You are spot on and this is exactly what I tried to point out the other day. Yes it was wrong of him to question her character (which he did on purpose without malice) yet she did only the same to him, yet when it comes to her everyone’s got to understand that she’s been through a lot and stuff. As tho she’s the only one with baggage from the past. You’re also spot on about ashok she refused to believe accusations against him even though she did not really know him even after being married for 17 years, yet she can believe hs is a MURDERER. Yes he said he’s a murder but if she had any sense whatsoever she should know (just like mini) that it couldn’t possible be true and maybe he’s just blaming himself for her death.

This is the same man who took her in when she had nowhere to go. This man preached about imartis teachings and how she taught him to respect women yet he’s now a murderer.

Just like you I don’t think she could ever redeem herself and I don’t even think she’s good enough for him anymore. She’s not very good at supporting ppl yet she expects a whole lot of support. She would be nowhere without him and at the first sign of trouble she runs off. Yet time after time she helped her x husband. She has this side of her that’s a selfish parasite and I don’t personally like it. The innocence they once showed her to have now comes across and weakness and stupidity.

The man is clearly hurting and going through a lot which he’s keeping to herself yet her solution is to hurt him further because he insulted her. She does not deserve him. Well done to mini for once again having more common sense and substance than another one of her parents

babita is only for her in laws. the ideal bahu. she helped ashok for them. And let this kind of accusation have been on her FIL or ashok she would have not believed it or helped ashok because of her in laws. Hanuman is not yet family for her. i agree this was the time to payback for all what he had done for her. weather she wished to forgive him for how her hurt her respect that night is another case

If she’s not learned by now that blood can often mean nothing then she’s more of a fool than I thought. Where were these blood relations when she was homeless? Her brother kicked her out and her in laws cared about their own selves when they had to choose between ashok and her. What family helped her do anything actually? Even her business is due to hs getting her the contract and lending her money. I wish they’d show babita as being smarter and more sensible!

I’m just watching the episode now and I see that she leaves without her daughter! So she’s also putting her duty as a mother behind her own selfishness. If she really believes he’s a murderer how can she leave her daughter to live with a murder all alone?!

I agree she should have kept her hurt separate from what’s currently going on as it’s bigger than the insult he gave her.

I know this story is about the mother and daughter but they don’t have to show babita trampling on the person who was with her at her lowest point.

And what about naeem bi? They’ve not even showed babita asking her if she can move in? Is she gone so expectant than everyone around her has just got to do what she says when she says it and if they dare not (like hs- then she acts like an emotional toddler).

Yeah she’s got insecurities from the past but she’s not the only one and she can’t constantly put her own insecurities above those of even mini.

I am really shocked and didn’t think she would go anywhere without mini
