It seems PB is facing lots of pressure from channel to increase their TRP. Here they are requesting indian viewers to watch the show on TV so that the show can have longer run.

Also read the conversations and KK’s response to fans questions. They say the show is untimately about Babita and Mini though love story is a part of the show, but it’s not the end of it.

I completely agree to this KK Twitter handle. This was the same thing we were talking about yesterday.

Love story is not the main graph of the show. Its about mother and daughter. And that's infact cause we don't have to wait till the last episode for their union.

It's a show on womanhood and their journey.

Having said that, the space they've given to Hanuman Singh is already commendable. They've allowed him to develop fully and have his own layers.

I'm so happy with all the graphs of the show <3

Everyone should watch it on TV cause ultimately TRP is the supreme ringmaster here.

I just had a doubt. If I switch to PB on TV at let's say 8.40 and show starts at 8.30, is my viewing counted for TRP?

They are absolutely right. However realistic the content of any show is they need trp to survive in the competition. About PB, it is about Babita and Mini and HS is an important part of their life who is going to become even more important in future. The writers have always done justice to Hanuman's character or any other character for that matter. I am very happy that PB will offer it's audience something different to watch. Something more than a love story. KK said in the series of tweets that no one's going to be a loner, everyone will get their share of love. So even after Hanuman and Babita get together and married , various angles can be explored like Mini settling in her new life and finally getting a fair chance to pursue her dreams. Babita learning new things and growing career wise like having her own cookery show or her own restaurant. It has a very long way to go but Babita's pregnancy will also become a strong track, HS is going to be scared because we all know what happened to Imarti. Ultimately PB is about a woman becoming the best version of herself.

The fact that they've made this appeal on social media tells me the channel is already putting a lot of pressure on them. Typical Sony style. They encourage great content but lose patience with it after a while. I've seen many shows go this way.

I am also wondering why if the PH says it's a finite show the actors were hoping for it to run a year longer. I had always assumed it would go for 1 to 1.5 years max as originally planned without being stretched or rushed.

Actors are the least informed on these matters. They're almost as clueless as us. Only the channel, PH and creatives know.

Sony will obviously look for TRPs. But the good news is PB is already the leading TRP getter for Sony in the prime time slot. The channel won't ever scrape it but extra TRPs won't hurt either.

So I guess they're just pushing CVs to take a more audience oriented path where TRPs can further increase.

And about time, if the channel feels the show's doing well, they can allow them to run through a year more.

PB is such a beautiful show. Yes, i want it to be a finite show, but also want the makers to give it a proper ending and not rushed upon. People who watch mindless shows on other channels are really missing a sensible show. Audience can bring back those old dd days. And raise the bar of degraded ITV. Hoping for the best for PB.

@bold shat pratishat satyavachan ... You know I am a hardcore Zindagi Gulzar Hai fan ... Nothing on ITV felt like that but since I started watching PB ... ZGH takes no. 2 on the list. ZGH was a 26 episode show ... but they are so consistent and realistic with PB since 179 episodes. I am a media student and I will say that a show like PB should be studied for everything it has to offer.

Well said. You can tell how much effort goes into planning and pre-planning to maintain the quality for so long. On top of that, they were not rigid and decided to pay attention to viewer feedback and course correct a while a go when things were going haywire on the show. That's commendable for ITV, warna fans to bol bol ke thak jaate hain.
