Even so she points out how horribly wrong the ECT was portrayed (which again...Google?) so thanks Kangana for the public service of making patients afraid of a clinically proven effective treatment and that Kangana’s portrayal of a mentally ill patient was “entertaining” not “realistic”. Also comparing JHK to older HiFi portrayals of mental illness - pretty low bar for success.

Shipra Dawar is a business woman making money from mental illness so not sure her opinion is worth more than a business woman making money from cinema.
Finally forget about RKRs character, Kangana in interviews has repeatedly said her character is supposed to have dissociative identity disorder. Does she? If she does, it’s a horribly inaccurate characterization. If she doesn’t, it’s a horribly cavalier mistake. If she or the team were really trying to de-stigmatize mental illness (not just Kangana’s real life behavior) they would have created a character with a real mental illness (not just a flamboyant rehashing of Kangana’s real life behavior slapped with an unrelated diagnosis).
