Exactly! This movie reeks of sexism.

In fact I have even written about it. Wen I saw the movie, I had plenty of issues with it. Because they glorified misogyny and violent relationship.

Kabir Singh controversy and glorification of misogyny

Nope. I skimmed through Fifty Shades of Grey when the book released. Worst thing I ever read 🤢(I didn't watch any of the movies). I also didn't watch Kabir Singh yet though I might watch it to see Shahid's act once it comes in online platform. I don't want to spend money in movies like these.

Christian Grey is a different ballgame. That's a BDSM-Consent debate.

But as far as Kabir Singh goes, they do. That's part of the problem. Lot of Men have a belief that they possess their women and see it perfectly valid to beat her up. At the same time, a lot of women also believe that the whole idea of love is to be owned by a man and see domestic abuse as part and parcel of life. There are subtler versions of these things that we accept. Stay at home wives would excuse their husband's infidelity or general lack of interest in household as men being men. It's all very ingrained in us. Through our societal beliefs, media consumption, everything.

Yes some do. Serial killers like Bundy had women writing appeals for him to be released. Charles Manson used to receive love letters in jail.

India's own Sobhraj got married to a woman while in jail. She got to know him through the old mail service after she became a fan when she got to know of the many murders he committed I suppose.

Bottomline-women!!!

Handsome and money and confidence

Goes long with the women, a guy can get away with a lot of shit with them.

As if men don't flaunt it when they get hit on by an attractive woman.

It works both ways. I'm not trying to seem saintly but for me it's never been about how the guy looks. It's more about how he approaches. If a cute guy is a creep in his approach, it's still a No, doesn't matter what he looks like.

I read the story of Kabir Singh and Preeti came across as a submissive, introvert and spineless woman who is happy to be handled by Kabir. I would never associate myself with such a volatile man. Men like him deserve to stay alone.

Just in another thread some dude said he didn’t like so and so actress but after seeing her skin show on screen he has changed her mind about her. It’s same with women. Attractiveness & hormones drive these people to ignore obvious shit lol! I am pretty sure if ever there was an attractive sexy woman accused of murdering men, many men would happily fall in bed with her & not believe she could do such a thing! Aise hi women can easily manipulate men with sex. lol!
