They can't do that with this movie as there are no recordings of few matches and whatever ones they have are very grainy and not HD. The actors will have to enact all of it themselves unlike the dhoni movie where they had HD footage of WC matches played by dhoni.

my god he looks so much like Dev, it’s uncanny! I had hoped the VFX won’t make him look like a caricature, but this is so subtle, cha gaya!

One look doesn't determine anything for me. I will have to watch a footage to make a decision on how convincing he is.

Kudos to the make up artist.
