Watching for sure. Vijay devarakonda is just too charming!
What sort of swag do commies have that he is unable to pull off? And yet communism is famous for mass killings only.
In the Malabar regions of Kerala communism rose as a way to counter upper caste dominance. It is an ideology that resonates with the working class of Kerala. It may have "mass killings" like any other political ideology but don't reduce it to just that.
As for the swag part Vijay D. could have looked at Nivin or DQ for some semblance of what it means to be a (any) party leader.

Is this a Malayalam movie ?
Nope it is history as my dad recounted it to me but if I am inaccurate please feel free to correct me.
Nivin and DQ r Malayalee actors.
Kannada version

Heroine : Kanadiga
Music : Tamilian
Vijay Devarakonda plays the lead role, of a student leader, while Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead as a cricketer.[7][8]Putting down speculations, director Bharat confirmed that it is not a remake of Malayalam movie Comrade in Americastarring Dulquer Salman as the protagonist.

Just because it rose as a class war in Kerala does not undo the death of millions in USSR and China because of the very same ideology. Communism is more of a joke in India because Communists time and again indulge in religious symbolisms because they know atheism does not sell or win votes in India.
