Part 1
“Rain slips through your fingers as easily as words blow away in the wind, and yet it has the power to destroy your whole world.”
― Karen Maitland, Company of Liars
Every day I feel today I won’t feel as intensely as I did in the past episode and every episode AM surprise me. The writers have written their characters so well Mashallah. I loved how the episode began with Abhir offering to give a lift to Maasi. I am not sure if he knows the actual truth about her but I admire the way he treats her unlike Kunal who is downright mean to her. Abhir is so quick to notice that something is bothering her but he doesn’t pressurise her to confide in him. Ignoring the trash scene in between the scene cuts to Abhir sitting in the mandir where he happily reads Mishti’s message. His banter with her and God is so amusing. I rofled at his description of his family’s drama quotient being equivalent to a daily soap. Then he gets a few signs from God and is so happy to see Mish standing beside him.
A:“Arey hum larkay walay hain chup chup kay kuch nahi kartay baarat lay kar ghar par ahatay hain”
M:“What larkay walay…?”
I guess these cuties sometimes forget they are talking about Kuku and instantly start talking about themselves. Again the Massi and Abhir scene at the mandir was adorable. He cares about her opinion but she is so disturbed by how Kunal behaves that she believes her input is not important. Abhir and Kunal both love each other a lot but the way they love is so different. Abhir cares about the consequences of his actions in the name of love and even asks for guidance and correction. In short he listens. Whereas Kunal likes to enforce his opinions and blames the other party for the failure of a relationship.
I love Misthi’s inner monologue.
“Misthi tujhay kia padhi thi painting wali ki baat karnay ka… Par tu kia karti who khud toh koi chance chod tha nahi painting wali ki baat karnay ka..par painting main toh tu hi hain na” She is mentally chiding herself for bringing that topic up but then she acknowledges how Abhir is always interested in talking about the mystery girl for a minute it irks her but then she remembers that its her. She is so lost in her thought that BM calls her out on it. I also loved how respectful Abhir was to BM. BM unknowingly has given Abhir such a sweet dua that may God grant all his wishes. I hope He does and I know God will and we all know what Abhir wishes for secretly. This small exchange between Abhir and BM instils so much hope in me about the future of AM. Notice here how Mish is enamored by him like she is so impressed by Abhir and his words when he puts an emphasis on ‘Misthi ki BM’. Pata hain hum jab kisi say pyar kartay hain toh uss say judi har cheez humrahy li bohot aham ho jaati hain(When we love someone the things that are associated with them become important for us). Her Abhir so subtly convey to Misthi that how much he respects her BM and BP. He even goes on to show his solidarity with Kuhu. He reassures them that he will treat Kuhu like a little sister and Mish is so mesmerised. The gal is feeling so many emotions and is genuinely so impressed by him. It was adorable how hopeful Abhir sounded when asking BM if BP will relent and give in but BM doesn’t make any false promises.
“Abhir tumhay kisi ki help ki zarorrat nahi hain na meri na painting wali ki” You know why she says that because this man , this amazing human specimen has so respectfully asked for something from her elders in an age where most people don’t care about these little values/gestures. He truly amazes her sometimes and hence, she feels this man doesn’t need anyone’s help
“Tumay baton painting wali kon.. Meri dil main aisay ghanta bajati hain…” Abhir can’t handle his excitement.
Her conscious berates her for bringing that topic up again. She is still not ready. ”Idiot phir say painting ki baat shudu kar di”
“Tumhay jana na uss ka naam kiya hain?”
“Umm mujay jaan na hi nahi hain” Because him saying it will make it real and it will force her to acknowledge it and she avoids the conversation. Her inner frustration takes a toll on her and she lashes out on Abhir. Her uneasiness is so visible.
“Stop it dekho meray pass time nahi hain.. tumnay kia yay painting painting ki ratt lagyi rakhi hain arts and crafts ka bhi koi time hota hain” Indirectly she is saying here that now is not the right time to discuss their dynamic. She tells him to think about Kunal par Misthi dear pyar waqt aur haalat ko thodi dekh kar hota hain pyar toh bas ho jaata hain.
