Btw I really wish the makers attempt to do something different with Ramayana...Both Ram's greatness and Ravana's evilness are questionable and both are not straight as black and white. Does someone have the balls to depict the story that way?

How Ravana was the more knowledgeable and greater devotee of Shakti and that very questionable agnipariksha of Sita.
@ gold moi thought abt dat, bt wts d diff btn her Bahubali n this ?
Didn’t watch dat Mv, thought sm wt similar so taken Anushka over Ramya. If nt same , she suits better

Fringe groups should not have any issue with her as she is a practising hindu and never ever commented adversely about Sita whom she may portray.
Did she ever say anything bad about Padmavaati either and that thing spiralled into a whole mess.

Oh yes. Agnipariksha not once but twice.
Meghnad and Surpanakha episodes evoke many questions as well
@golden-dew - it was more of a rhetorical question 😃
Many people might not agree with me but I think they should cast talented newbies for the roles of Ram and Sita and perhaps other popular actors as the other cast if they want to go for the star and pan-indian appeal. Honestly, I can't think of anyone from BW pulling off these 2 roles. Perhaps actors from other regional industries may be suitable for this, but I feel having newbies would add freshness to this role. And I do feel that it can work with newbies in the lead roles because before Baahubali, not many people knew Anushka, Prabhas and Ramya Krishnan in the bollywood circuit. Yet, the movie did well in the North courtesy of the powerful storytelling and brilliant acting by cast. So these factors can easily trump over having a star cast, especially since Ramayanam itself has many fans.
^^ of course bcz Ram gt married @ 14 r 15
So dey May go fr younger leads
That short guy in the middle is Allu arjun's father. He loves money.
If anyone’s listen / read Ramayan no one questions Srirama r Raavana’s characters.

I think Deepika would make a good Sita. Her stature is powerful but has vulnerable doe eyes something the literature describe Sita as.
