I thought we were free to discuss anything in ATs, but I guess rules have changed over the years. Anyway, I am sure people have discussed Dhruv's character in the forum at some point, and there is no point to bring that up again.
It is easy to feel a certain way about some characters (i.e. PKM and even Chachi to a large extent). Then you have the flawed leads - you cannot dislike Pooja despite certain questionable actions of hers, and you cannot like Kabir's holier than thou attitude in the recent episodes. These characters have complexities and we start to dread it when the writers throw the complexities out of the window.
With Dhruv, the character has been written badly, IMO (feel free to disagree). He lacked complexities. His dialogues have had little to no impact (pre and post revamp) and that confuses me, because technically, I ought to sympathise with him. Even before Pooja pulled the rug from under his feet, I should have felt for him, but I could not.
Pooja eventually falling for Kabir has to make sense. Isn't Dhruv (on paper) a more "perfect" character than Kabir? He respected his dad (whether it was out of fear, that's another thing), he respected his wife's wishes to not be intimate, he thinks he is the "Raja Beta" of the family - why then would and should Pooja fall for Kabir? Yes, tashanbaazi is fun and interesting for us to watch, but that doesn't explain why Pooja would "choose" Kabir over Dhruv.
THAT is where I think the bad writing comes into play. The writers didn't put in too much effort into Dhruv's character because they knew that at some point, he would not have a purpose to serve. Instead of developing the character in a way that would resonate with us, they gave him random dialogues and random moments, which is why some people are saying that they would never accept JaBir if Dhruv is still in the picture, and they are not wrong! His character is weak, but is that enough to justify that Pooja should not be with him? THAT is my issue with his character and that is why he grates on my nerves.
It's the same with Rani. Was she introduced just so that we have a pretty girl mindlessly pining after a guy who has no interest in her? Yet another badly written character because all you feel is annoyance. I completely concur with everyone who was annoyed with the way Pooja-Kabir became a "good versus bad" thing in last week's episodes, because we have been spoilt by the writers till now. The nuances is what makes both their characters endearing, and without that, even ardent Shrenu-Zain fans would feel bored - regardless of their sizzling chemistry.

Shrenu is such a stunner! Can they please tone down the makeup though? I used to hate the way they did her makeup in IB, and post revamp, they are doing that to her again. :/
Since this is TV and we get random "romantic" moments, can Kabir and Pooja end up dancing together at this party LOL? Sorry not sorry, Rani. Zain looks amazing in white, and Shrenu is rocking the red gown (what is that neck piece even?).

This!! So well put. Both Pooja and Kabir are (were?) very real characters.
Kabir has his moments of weakness, for eg., when he has to tell Kavya about Vyom's truth. Thats what makes me, at least, relate to him. He is not perfect, but he is a good EMPATHETIC man, esp. when he tries to understand Pooja's situation as to why she went on this path of revenge.
On reflection, I believe it was a littler easier for him to hand over his dad to police, because he always had a feeling that his Dad is shady. But its not that easy to hand over his mother and grandpa, who he loves dearly, and who committed a crime by omission, and not masterminded it, like PK. In any case it makes for a good dilemma and conflict.
If they make it a khuddar man v/s rich, arrogant woman (like in the last two episodes), then it would be difficult for us, because neither Kabir nor Pooja are 'only' that.
I believe a few introspection scenes of both characters will be good at this point. Like the one's we had, when Kabir was undergoing the dilemma about Vyom's truth. Similarly, for Jahnvi/Pooja when she would talk to her dead father.
I guess writers are struggling a bit, because the revamp was dropped on their heads by Sitara. But hopefully they'll rebound soon.

The neck piece! 😡 Seriously for a moment I thought whether the stylist from IB has come over to the set.
IB styling was literally THE WORST. The zoo-like costumes, urghhhh, we fans had such a tough time, felt like stabbing our eyes.
Thank god, the actors were reasonably good looking, most of them, so they carried off the horridness.

Bingo! I do feel sorry for the writers because revamps are never easy. You are taking a huge risk and you just have to look at the bigger picture for a while. Hopefully this week's TRP would be better than last week's because that would allow the writers to delve deeper into the thoughts of both characters.
One thing I overlooked was how they still tried to keep the characters flawed in a very real/raw manner - with both being selfish about their families. It has been exaggerated, with them going off in opposite directions, but it is essentially out of love for their families. Aren't we all extra protective when it comes to our families, and wouldn't we go to any extent for them? I guess with this at the back of my mind, it makes it easier to accept what Pooja and Kabir have been shown to be doing this week BUT this doesn't mean that the writers should continue to simplify the characters and leave it to us to interpret them with complexities. 😛

The funniest was them wearing the same print in different designs LOL. And who can forget the atrocious glittery eyeshadow, tauba! Janhvi had a glittery eyeshadow look once, in that sequence where Shail was introduced - that was BEAUTIFUL. Subtle and brought out the brown in Shrenu's eyes. I didn't like her red eyeliner look at PK-Suman's party, but Janhvi in general was styled beautifully. We need that back for Pooja too.
Zain and Shrenu have such pretty eyes. They are brown with green/golden flecks? I could just stare at their eyes everytime there is a close-up shot!

Don't remind me. Even Zain had to undergo torture at the hands of IB stylist, though I think he was styled slightly better, also Mandana (or whatever her name is).
