So all this time he was weighed down by guilt and a sense of obligation to her, because he blamed himself somehow for her death, rather than love? That doesn't make sense. It seemed like he did love her but who knows if the writers are now changing the backstory.

It's very odd. THey may have changed it a bit because the way AJ praised her all the time you would have never thought this was the antara he was taling about. Also, how can someone who so passonetly would tell everyone that he could never love anyone else, no one can take this woman's place...be the same person today that doesn't even care that she's crying her eyes out. AJ was just happy he broke it and was smiling. I mean the AJ from before would have had some feeling towards Antara. This AJ literally almost feels no love towards her. All I see from AJ is disgust, uncomfortableness and mainly just like she's a child he's forced to take care of and has no choice.

I agree. Even if AJ loves Guddan now, and if Antra hadn't come back his character would always still love Antra. Guddan is not here to replace her, but has made her own place in his heart, so the love for both women can co-exist. Now that she is here, his affection shouldn't change, rather he would have a soft-corner for her.

@bold - this is the bit that seems off. I would have expected AJ to treat her like a best friend if nothing else. They shared a life together and he was always talking about how great their love was. Don't know what happened. I also hate this idea that Antra has to be evil or mean in order to justify choosing Guddan. He can still choose Guddan just because that's his present, and then Antra and he can make peace with their past, present, and future.

Who knows what they have in store?! But the chup chup ke romance that we all expected and wished for is being shown beautifully. I loved how he was sitting on the very balcony that she used to sleep on for so long, and how he falls asleep watching over her, whereas there was a time when Antra's return would have been the biggest gift in the world for him.

totally agree. And it's almost odd to see some of the old episodes and see how AJ was compared to this AJ now. Because the bold was always so true for him for so long. Had it only been . 6 months prior, AJ would have i think easily moved away from Guddan.

i'll also add that while i'm loving this AJ, and i get why he broke her MS but he didn't have to actually just drop it like it was burning him 🤣

he literally just dropped the entire chain and was like "ohh sorry....😆"

He should have at least give her back the broken chain instead of letting it fall to the carpet but I won't complain too much about that ha.

Of course the writers have now changed the backstory otherwise AJ could never have behaved the way he is behaving. It just isn't possible. Of course people do move on but that's irl, not ITV where AJ was shown to be so much in love with the first wife, his world..his everything. It was like a devotion for him and now he forgot her and their great love in just a few months? Antara is shown to be a vamp to justify AkshAn..the writers are definitely going in that direction since they are portraying her like a vamp, even with a vampy bg tune else it would have been a very heart wrenching track for both Antara and AJ with a lot of pain and heartbreak which it is not for either of them as we saw.

She could be fake as well, but still it would not make sense with regards to AJ and his love for Antara.
