I clearly told that when the entire TV industry is still going by BARC data, that could only mean that there hasn’t been any concrete proof to indicate your claims.

Even your fav show’s producer Rajan Shahi changes his tracks based on data provided by BARC.

And I have just shown you concrete proof from various sources all authentic. My fav show comes on top of TRP charts, I STILL say TV TRP is skewed/ manipulated.

EXACTLY what I am telling you. IT IS IN PROGRESS, not implemented fully across India yet.

I have said the exact same thing at least thrice here in this same thread.

It is not fully implemented. It is NOT IMPLEMENTED YET. The system is not yet in place. BARC is not releasing any online viewership data dude.

So basically, what I wud say to all those reading this thread is this:

Read all the comments, read the sources I have linked to here and then make up yr OWN mind. Don't go by what I am telling you. But don't go by what others are telling you either. Read the right info and then think abt it on yr own and understand it.

Yes 'dude' I know. But the system is already being rolled out in some places in India. The data from this system is not yet being collated. THIS also I have already mentioned before in this VERY SAME THREAD.

BARC INDIA itself is owned by industry associations, primarily , advertising agencies which connect with all the mncs or companies that book or place their ads on spot basis have created a monopoly in the TV space.

Unfortunately IB ministry or TRAI irrespective of governments that have come and gone are still unable to get through or infuse rules and regulations in a sector whose decisions are in the hands of private agencies.

In that aspect everything is skewed as data can be changed even by the operator who works on compiling data sheets. At each and every level anyone can be corrupt. We are free to conclude anything.

So all advertisers who pay through their noses to GECs are very much dependant on ratings which go to them daily. Prime time is 8 to 10 pm and then there are non prime time hours.

A fall of 0.1 to 0.8 or 0.9 effect revenue and advertisers can bargain which reduces feasibility. It also depends on how rich the PH is or budget per episode is variable or reasonable. If actors charge on a pro rata basis. For a GEC like Sony who do not have those kind of ratings for all their shows ,consider online revenue too. That is why YUDKBH is their flagship. For the rest of them what comes every Thursday is full and final.

Barc and Trai have requested GECs to go slow on their shows till the new rules set in and the entire process is completed. Unfortunately advertisers dont care about occupational hazards or bottle necks and have upper hand in their deals. online views, are making a dent, however, there are no authorised agencies to assimilate and publish a foolproof data list week after week.

TRPs which are released by BARC matter the most to SP, Colors and Zee. Then it depends on the relationship maintained by Phs with their respective channels.

THIS- I did not want to get into this at this point. SO there are issues at several levels with TV TRPs

1) transparency- zero, bcos BARC does not release data on its own. We see TRP data from random third parties, many time figures given by one do not match with another list- no telling it is actually correct.

2) Accuracy- which TRAI itself does not thinks is there bcos 33000 homes measured in a country like ours with a population of 1,367,858,289.

This is debatable. At the end of the day, we have to make some compromises after coming to a consensus.

The TV industry has already come to a consensus that BARC is the only way to measure a show’s viewership and all the stakeholders have agreed to accept the ratings provided by BARC.

All GECs in India and PHs have agreed to go by BARC.

As a result, people following those shows will always have to agree.
