Queen Kaushlaya is dressing when Kaikeyi and Sumitra comes to her. They are both a little displeased because Dasarath ahs decided to stay at mithila.

Kaikeyi: what's there in Mithila to stay for so long?

Kaushlaya explains them how hard it is for Janaka and sunayana to let go of the daughters they brought up form childhood to girlhood to woman hood. Kaikeyi and Sumitra finally understands

MITHILA

Sita and her siters are sitetd in her bed and all the ladies are singing. Malavika starts dancing about Sita her sisters, her Sasural and about the three Mothers in law. Many songs and laughter follow. Urmilla and Mandavi also sings. Then Malavika sings, The may be three mothers but they will also be like three swords hanging in their head, to take care of them at the slightest Mistake.

Urmilla, Mandavi and Shrutakirti sing about how they will make their Father in law the guard.

Sita is deep in her thoughts.

Mlaavika suddenly starts crying in Sita's lap sayin she will miss them all.

Sita : Has father already consented for our Vidai?

Malvika: NO But Rishi Vashistha along with Satanand has gone to ask for his permission.

Janaka, is requested repeatedly to allow Dasarath to leave with his sons, daughters and the baratis. Janaka agrees and asks minister Sudhavanji to make all arrangements

Sita is watching the picture of Ram with love in her eyes. Janaka comes in silently, watches and turns to go But he cannot go silently, he turns over a vase and Sita looks Back. She comes and embraces him. Sita is full of sorrow-SO soon her father is thinking that she is a stranger. Janaka comforts her and tells her a lot about life of women after marriage, her duty towards her husband and inlaws. Sita looks straight and asks what about parents. Soon a long dialogue from Janaka of a woman's life, her protection under Father and then under husband follows.

Post this vocal therapy, Sita is running in the corridors of the palace, tears in her eyes, watching and thinking about all the happy moments spent here.

IN Ayodhya, the mothers are watching the pictures of the daughters in law and contemplating when they will arrive, how they will welcome them

Nightime, Janaka and sunayana are busy talking. Janaka says: he never felt so sad like before

Sunayana: you're regarded as videh, you can overlook all earthly decay tehy do not touch you

Janaka: that's a lie, I am still a earthly man, I feel pain in thinking that I will part with my dear daughter Sita. That tomorrow she will leave. No one understands how a father feels

Sunayana: perhaps only the mother of a daughter understands now. Please rub your tears and lets get some sleep

I am disappoinetd that no Ram , Laxman scene was here today
