Why did Salman Khan push back the Veteran Remake for Kick 2?

He was suppose to the remake of the Korean movie Veteran after shooting Inshallah but he is no longer doing that and going to do Kick 2 instead. Why? Is he playing it safe?

The premise of Veteran is really good and would work. It's an action comedy that's about an old detective trying to catch a Young Millionaire. No matter how hard the detective tries he can't catch the Young Millionaire because of money and connections the Millionaire has.

Just imagine you have Salman as the Detective. There are so many young actors he can get. Salman opposite Varun or Ranveer.

Veteran sounds like Catch Me If You Can

Sounds like it'll be another 150cr movie for salman after reading that story. He better stick to what he's comfortable with
