Ranbir, Alia, Kareena, Kajol, Rani, Abhishek, Aamir and many more star kids can act. The ratio is the same as it is for outsiders. Some can act, some can't.

Why blame BW for not allowing acting when the audience is not interested? People have hard lives in a developing country like India. They just want to go have fun and relax when they watch a movie. Majority of people would rather watch stupid movies like Houseful and Simba over Masaan and Mulk.

Acting itself isn't taken seriously in Bollywood, as almost all Superstars ever in the industry, get success by doing typical films and roles which pleases their fanbase and general audience. Bollywood star Kids grow up in a surrounding where looks, charisma, body building and PR are the mantra of success.

Why will star kids consider acting important when they see Salman who always plays himself in movies being at the top. Acting was never important in Bollywood, it was a secondary thing.

Another thing is star kids see acting as a career, just like we common folks see engineering and medical. Families expect us to become an engineer or doctor because every tom, dick and harry wants to become one, even if we are completely shit at Maths and Science.

Star Kids too have a pressure to live up to their parents legacy. They will be considered a failure if they are not as successful their parents, and in India where actors are worshipped, no other career can top that. Star Kids too get mesmerized by the glitz and glamour of film industry. I mean you get paid in crores and adored by millions just for acting? Who will not want such life?

The failed star kids might also have some dreams and passions, completely unrelated to Bollywood, but in the end they too gave priority to money and social status just like we common people.

There is nothing wrong to follow your parents path but you have to work really hard for that and you have to prepare for the career that you dream to pursue when you will grow up. You can't compare doctor engineer with actors actresses. You have to study really hard to become doctor engineer. You can't become doctor engineer just because your parents wants you to become one because you have to pass so many exams and you have to compete with other people to get into medical college or engineering college but to enter Bollywood, you don't have to give any exams.

Yeah, you are right, we need to study and pass exams to become doctor, engineer. But star kids don't have to do that to get break in Bollywood. They can easily get that through connections of their parents, and that makes it more irresistible to them. So even though they don't have drive and passion for acting, they can't deny fame, which is served to them on a platter.

Also entering Bollywood might not be an exam for star kids, but getting successful is on their own hands. Because their parents can't buy fans.
