Even I don't get it. All the starkids are lazy. Like they say, if they wanted to be actors from childhood, they should have prepared. Learn dancing, learn acting, learn Hindi, get voice coaching, take part in plays etc. But no, all they do is get groomed physically and suck up to KJo. They suck at dancing, acting, diction.

Even though I don't find Tiger Shroff appealing but atleast he has worked hard on learning his art of dancing and stunts.

Star kids know they can get an easy entry into films and that privilege makes them lazy and carefree.

Generally actors who are staright launched to films can't act , whether outsider or insider.

Outsider who have struggled and gone through theatre, tv etc are better , similarly star kids who have gotten many movies with directors have started acting decently.

So it's basically experience.

However there will be some who can never act tiger etc.

Acting itself isn't taken seriously in Bollywood, as almost all Superstars ever in the industry, get success by doing typical films and roles which pleases their fanbase and general audience. Bollywood star Kids grow up in a surrounding where looks, charisma, body building and PR are the mantra of success.

Why will star kids consider acting important when they see Salman who always plays himself in movies being at the top. Acting was never important in Bollywood, it was a secondary thing.

Another thing is star kids see acting as a career, just like we common folks see engineering and medical. Families expect us to become an engineer or doctor because every tom, dick and harry wants to become one, even if we are completely shit at Maths and Science.

Star Kids too have a pressure to live up to their parents legacy. They will be considered a failure if they are not as successful their parents, and in India where actors are worshipped, no other career can top that. Star Kids too get mesmerized by the glitz and glamour of film industry. I mean you get paid in crores and adored by millions just for acting? Who will not want such life?

The failed star kids might also have some dreams and passions, completely unrelated to Bollywood, but in the end they too gave priority to money and social status just like we common people.

The fans of the parents become the fans of the kids as well and then they are so hyped through social media and paps these days that before entering movies they already have fans. They don’t have to work hard to get anything. Talent is the least of their concern.

People like Irfan and Nawaz take 20 years to get recognized for their talent. Had Esha, fardeen, twinkle and zayed debuted now they could have done better even though they suck . Imran however didn’t have the luck . Kjo wasn’t sweet on him i guess.

@bold: this is why the favouritism towards star kids is so annoying.

They don;t even care about the craft- all they want is adulation and money..

And then you have an irrfan and a Nawaz struggling and getting bit roles, trying to make a mark and working at it for years on end.. to get as much recognition ( or less! ) as the non talented or mediocre star kid..

There is so much truth in your post 👏 I'd just say that it looks that most star kids view 'acting' as a secondary thing... most important for them is their 'image' and getting the TRP ...and the best movies roles available, 'enhanced' roles that can 'showcase ' and make ANYONE with some tiny talent be perceived as a 'greatACTOR'... thus decreasing the QUALITY of BW movies in general..

Acting thing is subjective..here the numbers matter. Salman Khan has been riding high of numbers, he hasn't given great performances yet called a great actor. In Bollywood, it's all about delievering the goods. The market value matters, doesn't mean if you'r an outsider or star kid. The only thing is that Star Kids get better opportunities.

Star kids chorro, most of the actors in Bollywood don't put much effort in acting, as Shy said, most of the commercial stars who get launched easily with big banners and commercial stuff aren't really serious actors, because as Luna said in Indian cinema, acting is kept in backseat, with star power and style given preference over substance.
