This boy is like the perfect son who does everything for his family and doesn't neglect his responsibilities towards them. He did't want to join family business but did when his father got sick. Yet they make all the decisions for him, pushing them on him in all sorts of emotionally blackmailing ways, have gotten so used to him saying yes to him, that now it hardly occurs to them that the decisions they make for him or the things they want him to do may not make him happy or what he wants. He was nagged to marry sherlin by one and all, wasn't believed by his family at all when he told them he did not touch sherlin, then was quite literally forced to agree to marry sherlin in 15 days without being allowed to argue against them. It's honestly quite unfair how the family doesn't really ask rishabh whether he is happy or whether this is what he wants.

The stupidest thing is that rishabh did refuse to marry sherlin when he was accused of sleeping with sherlin and they all without listening to him ordred that he will, regardless of whether he wants to, will marry sherlin in 15 days.

Today I felt worse for him with the way rakhi was talking to him. I don't know why rakhi can't understand that when he is so clearly unhappy and even voicing it, why is she hell bent on forcing him into a relationship he has voiced before the marriage has happened that he is not happy? He is the one who will spend the rest of his life with sherlin, not them, so why expect him to swallow his happiness to share his life with someone he is unhappy being with? Parents doing this to their children is wrong, because ultimately it is their child who will have to spend the rest of their life with the person they marry, so it should be their choice who they wish to marry. This logic doesn't exist in their books at all.

Plus rakhi doesn't know yet that sherlin is evil. Rakhi thinks sherlin is good, so she thinks there's nothing wrong in deceiving a girl to marry her son who most likely might not keep her happy or give her the love and happiness she expects from him? Why isn't rakhi thinking that when rishabh himself is voicing he isn't happy with marrying sherlin, sherlin's life would be ruined if she forced rishabh who doesn't love sherlin to marry her simply to show the world because guests have already arrived? Is it not better to stop a wedding from happening no matter how late into the wedding it is, instead of ruining two people's lives by forcing them to go ahead with marriage simply because all the wedding invitations have been sent, the guests have come etc? Are you really going to ruin two people's lives just because all wedding preps have been done? Stupidity!

I do understand Rakhi. It's too late for refusing just because he doesn't want to marry. There should be a really strong reason to say no now. Karan knows this reason but has no proof. Rishabh had a lot of time to back out of this marriage. I mean he could refuse before that awful event where he ended up with Sherlyn in the bedroom. He could say "I change my mind, I don't want to marry" when he realised that it's not Preeta but Sherlyn he should marry. He let it come to this point. If Sherlyn would be a nice girl it will be really terrible for her being rejected at the mandap.

I get that rishabh should have refused far earlier and said he wanted to marry preeta, but the point is at the same time there's no logic to forcing your child to marry simply because the marriage arrangements are all done. It doesn't matter if it's too late into the marriage preps, because simply for this reason you can't ruin two people's lives by forcing them into a loveless marriage. Marriage can still be stopped before it happens no matter how late it is if one or both realise they could never be happy in this marriage, but once the marriage is completed, a person is stuck for life with someone who they will not be happy with and who they may not be able to keep happy. The biggest damage and wrong would be done then if the marriage happens. Marriage should happen when both people acknowledge they have no issue with the marriage and give their full consent. Here it is simply going through with the marriage for the sake of society and guests. Those same society people and guests will have no involvement in the actual marriage, so the marriage shouldn't be forced on someone simply for the sake of these same guests/ society. Whereas the girl is concerned, her life would be more ruined marrying a person who neither loves her or who can't keep her happy, and if divorce occurs, it would be equally worse. No girl or person at all deserves being in a marriage without happiness.

The way Rishabh Luthra has been shaped up in Kundali Bhagya literally reminds me of the 'super rotlu' Anurag of Season 1 KZK, his constant pining for Prerna yet getting married to one overtly attached vamp one after another.

I feel REALLY REALLY bad for him(Rishabh Luthra) as well, considering he was aware from the very beginning that Preeta did NOT fancy him the way he fancied her, but instead of saying no to getting married to Sherlyn he kept on looking for Preeta's 'disaproval' even at his own engagement. All the time and issues that have happened since his engagement with Sherlyn make Rishabh's character look rather selfish if the ONLY reason for him backing out of this wedding at this point is Preeta 'wants' him to.

At this point I am both confused and perplexed at how the writers are going to 'samet' this 'fayla hua raita'. Considering, Preeta is going to be busy saving her mother and then almost die in the process, she ain't coming to stop this wedding...... I think Mahesh uncle is just going to fake a heart attack and get everyone to the hospital instead.

@Bold- Even better would have been if mahesh uncle opened his mouth, if not rishabh about knowing that rishabh is not happy about marrying sherlin and loves preeta. Ekta makes everything super convenient for villains.

This! I didn't like at all how Rishabh agreed immediately to back out hearing that Preeta doesn't want this marriage too.

When Karan says "please do not marry" then Rishabh remembers about girl's izzat and family. But when Preeta says the same then he forgets about all that izzat issue. It does look selfish.

He is a nice person. But I feel he is really confused. I feel bad for him too.

The making it convenient for villians is all but important to continue the drama, otherwise if logic were to prevail things would have been very different. Any how I would actually not blame Mahesh Uncle because Rishabh has 'NEVER' been a 100% clear to ANYBODY that he loves Preeta. He has kept his mouth sealed shut for almost the entirety of the show now. The only people who have a hint of Rishabh's feelings towards Preeta are Kareena Bua, Preeta's Dadi, Mahesh Uncle and Shrishti. The Only people who are ABSOLUTELY certain about his feelings towards Preeta ar Sherlyn and Prithvi, everyone else who has an inkling has merely that an inkling!
