It is true that whenever there is a new Queen B - she gets the most haters and all kinds of conspiracies, but this one is so boring, it's tiring.
It's not Alia's fault that Parineeti took a 3 year break (well it kinda is, but you know what I mean). Pari also rejected Piku, which would have made her ahead of Alu through to 2016. Shraddha was her next competitor and she ended her own career by doing the disastrous Haseena Parkar / Rock On 2 / Half Girlfriend. She is working her way back and is doing well but so far behind. Kriti is doing very well right now, she has a few films lined up for the next 6 months - let's see how she does - Alia has nothing in that period.
But the fact is Alia Bhatt is the number one actress today - so she WILL and SHOULD get all the best roles. That's just how it works. If we said in 1989 that "omg it's not fair Sridevi gets Chandni / Chaalbaaz / Lamhe" - how silly would that sound.
Let's not. Even with Parineeti being an Idiot, Shraddha having limited talent, there are people like Tapsee, Kriti, Bhumi, etc who have been doing small films and moving ahead with the successes from those. And I'm prolly not counting 3 or 4 other actresses in the running who are up and coming. The point is there is talent. There is lots of talent if you actually take them in your films and give them GOOD scripts and good directors to work with, which is what Alia gets on a daily basis. And majority of her movies are co-produced by Dharma, so yes, KJO does have all that power that he regularly uses on Alia's behalf to snatch all the successful and good directors and co-produces their movies with Alia in the lead. This is also not 1989. In the past few years, we have had actresses simultaneously doing good work, nor is Alia even that believable nor good in all her roles nor opposite all actors, as her face is younger looking. The biggest miscast was for Dear Zindagi, where an older actress would have been amazing! Her Kalank venture was also a debacle. Her emotional delivery is glaringly lacking. It's time people stop putting her on an pedestal, as if she is the only talented actress of the younger lot, or even the only talented actress of bollywood.
