Alia's opportunities

I just watched this vogue bff's and vicky said she has the best role in takht. As a viewer, I will wonder why she got the best role out of an ensemble cast, same with kalank.

I love alia as an actor so i dont take credit away from her hard work and talent at all. I personlly dont mind that she is in good films but I know other ppl on this forums disccuss this a lot.

but I notice her opportunities are just on another level. too good to be true type of thing. I dont think the amount of good work she is receiving has been seen since the times of kareena duing her early career..actually im not sure even kareena has gotten that much good work. Can this be attributed only to her talent and success rate? why is there a huge gap in opportunities given to her compared to many other actors.

She is doing all of the biggest films coming out in 2020. -that is almost unheard of for an actress.

pls dont say karan is helping her all the time, there has to be more than that. Do you think it is her talent, and her being just way better than her contemporaries, or lack of competition?

Personally..I feel it is her freshness, and the fact that she plays roles so well, that other actresses are cant act to her level. Or can they?

She is cheap to hire relative to other actresses like Deeps, Katrina but still is popular. since kjo recommends her and they likely ask her to take a fee cut or come up with other deals that benefit Dharma and work out logistics.

Also, Deeps has become focused on her branding as a global star. And Katrina has become serious about acting, and wants to produce movies too. The others like Pari/Sona are prolly as expensive as her but they don’t have Dharma backing. Kriti/Tapsee are still establishing themselves.

The whole best role narrative can be argued. takht hasn’t even started filming, we’ll see when it comes out. Anyways she is competing against better actors than herself so maybe her role is the best on paper, but can she translate that? Kalank- most reviews said Zafar had the best arc and even said the story should have been from his POV. RR, is a south film marketed on Prabhat and Director combo, so Make what you will of that. So she has been offered great parts, more so than her previous movies ( barring Raazi and highway) but let’s see if anything comes off that. She has proven to be a lazy actor going by Kalank, using her tried and tested tropes to get by, but maybe she can turn things around.

Its up to the performer to make the role good. Alia has the goods. Most of the time. Apart from 2 flops ⭐️

Nepotism was always there but aliya's case is something else.

Every actress when reached top wasn't taking away all the best scripts.

Sridevi in 80s had competition in meenakshi and jaya

Madz with juhi Sri , juhi then kajol, Krishna etc. All had good work

Then aish rani and priety which was the shortest dominating period by actresses. Then Katrina kareena pc all had good scripts.

Then deepika started dominating but other actresses like Kat anushka got good work.

But now in Aliya case the ratio of good scripts is so biased in her favour which makes people dislike her bcoz her competition didn't get a chance. For e.g.. she wants a movie kjo gets it. So when u have best scripts, u will easily get to top.

That's y she is not considered true number one. Yes she gets the hits, but give best scripts to other they will turn it too. Aliya wont make stree or aashiqi 2 superhits. That is difference. Shardha don't get so many best scripts but she can make movies hit .

So the theory that her rivals can't compete with her is wrong. They need the opportunity.

Her rival get a hit movie, she wants to work with that director and she gets it. So you see what I am saying

SOTY wasnt a clean hit

Highway was a flop

Shandaar was a flop

Kalank was a disaster

OK 3 flops. She still had lots of success. If your saying cause of Kalank she should be thrown out of cinema than all the other girls would be thrown out years ago 🤣

SOTY counts as a flop. Even Udta Punjab is an "average" grosser, we cant really call it a hit

Anything not an outright hit is a flop. Than all of alias contemporaries are lower than her 🤣

She is young and successful, pls try to deal with it
