Well, when Raman married Ishita, he hated the mere existence of her😂, but later on he understood that she is a gem of a person, and a perfect mother to his daughter. She became his family too. Like how he was protective towards his parents, siblings and children, he cared for Ishita too. But when did his care for her changed into passionate love? How did it happen to him only with Ishita but not others?
He gave away his president title for her happiness, he would have given it up even for Simmi, Romi,Rinki,Mihir, amma, appa, anyone else, what's the big deal, where is the difference?
After she came into his life, she slowly brought his upside down life to a straight and normal one, he started to live happily and peacefully, and well he never immediately acknowledge her role in these drastic changes happening in life, but deep down he knew she was the reason, he never sat and analysed and felt the change and felt greatful for her, and immediately went and thanked her, but he knew, she was the one. His heart knew, she was the one who is responsible for the difference. And he already fell for her, but never recognised it cuz of his horrible past experiences in love, but he loved their equation of being husband and wife and he was happy with that. Later when Mani came, his possessive side came out and did he realise that he is truly attracted to her as a lover, more than just a friend or Ruhi ki Ishima. He needs her for himself too, not just for Ruhi alone.
Raman's journey as a passionate lover, started from that point., after Mani's chapter was over.Atleast I sensed it since then. He understood that he loves her, and he slowly started getting close to her, she already seeped into his heart, but from the moment he started to actually look up to the lover in her, did his love for her changed into an unexplainable emotion, which he holds for no one else in this world
I happened to listen to a sermon long back, regarding relation between human and God. The preacher quoted the example of Eiffel tower. If you want to get a full view of the monument, the guide advises you to go far away from it, and then have a look. In that way, you would enjoy the beauty of the tower, and you would get mesmerized with it's beauty, and you will feel happy that you indeed saw it with your own eyes, but if you need to know the greatness or the mightiness of the tower, you need to go close to it, you need to touch it, and feel it's mightiness. Only when you go close to it, you would understand how huge it is and you would know it's greatness. So is God. Only when you go close to God, you would understand his mightiness and greatness, else you would take Him for granted and treat Him like a mere supernatural force which exists in universe, and just be awe of Him, but never experience His greatness to fullest.
God is nothing but love, in its purest form. The most fascinating thing about Him for me is His love. Only love can draw your attention!
Same happened to Raman. After Mani left, he understood that he is in love with her, and started to pay attention to her in detail, and started to go closer to her. Like a miracle, all sacrifices, all comprises, all pain, she bear for him and Ruhi started to affect him from that moment, and also all her love, care and dedication towards him and Ruhi touched him, and all the pain she silently beared when he had been so partial towards her, pained him more from that moment. Only when he started to come closer to her, did he realise the purest form of love in her, and fell deeply in love for the person she is. Indeed a very strong foundation for love to survive... falling in love with the person you are. Only when he started to look up to her, did he realise the real treasure he possessed.
And to this day, look at the graph.... the more the years he spent with her, the more the close he went to her, the more he bore his heart to her, he couldn't help but love for her intensified day after day. She has become the love of his life.
All this struck to me, when I was watching the cave track...when he thought he was about to die,his last wish was to have her as his wife for all his seven lives. He didn't say such words even for his children. Just look at his desperation and that fear of losing all their time yet again ..... he don't want that spaces in his next life, he wants only her as his wife, and want to make up for all the lost time in this life. He didn't think about his children in his last moments, but her... isn't it just amazing!!!! Not that he don't love his children, but she's the only person above them. No one can come and occupy that space .
I always wonder, since adiru are not Ishita's flesh and blood, what if God asks Raman to choose between Ishita and his children for his next life? He would choose Ishita. Children come into your life after your wife, not the other way. If not for her, there is no existence of children in first place, and he can never ditch her for the reason that she can't bear him Adiru, and would never leave her alone, to her misery and he would never choose someone else over her, for any reason even it is for Adiru. That's the real justice. And Raman is a just man as he is.
I was watching one old scene, where he was about to slap her,and Prateek comes and stops him....so much hatred for her, used her as an instrument to win his daughter's custody, nothing more than an aaya to Ruhi like how Shagun taunted, but just look now, she has become that only dearest person to him, whom he would choose above his children anyday. Puttar and Biwi are goals😭
Indeed surprising, when you see, that Raman likes Ishita for the person she is, but he was just few spaces away from her to realise that she is the love of his life. You keep waiting for your love of your life to descend down from heaven with some heavenly BG score, but just look at Raman, she is living with him in his room, sharing a bed, legally wedded wife, but still didn't look up to her for months😥, but thank Goodness, he didn't delay much.
Fascinating to just think that for Raman, the person with whom he live in his room, is the love of his life, and he is just a realisation away to embrace it😳.
Good night folks ❤️
Brilliant write up!!! The way you connected the dots after Mani's debacle to cave track was scintillating. However, I have some reservations as far as precedence in case of children is concerned, perhaps IshRa love each other more but AdiRuPi at times override their love because they are parents first. Remember Mr Bhalla's assertion post Roshni's judgement. Thank you! It's an IshRalicious post, no noise nor fluff 👍
