Aamir announced that he was remaking Forrest Gump a couple of months ago and that the title of the film was Laal Singh Chaddha.

Even as Aamir Khan has begun the pre-production activity on his film Laal Singh Chaddha, the race to play the heroine of the film has begun at a frenetic pace. Aamir announced that he was remaking Forrest Gump a couple of months ago and that the title of the film was Laal Singh Chaddha. A bevy of young actresses have lined up to audition for the role earlier essayed by Robin Wright in Forrest Gump. “First it was Kriti Sanon who had auditioned and then came in Yami Gautam who seems to have an edge over Kriti because of her expressive face,” says a source.

“There have been many other actresses who have auditioned. Other auditions are also taking place to cast for the .young Forrest Gump who is a essential part of the film. If the young Chaddha is good, it will help Aamir’s senior character have the kind of an impact that Tom Hanks’ character had in the original,” adds the source.

Take Zaira or Fatima or Taapsee.

I think Yami would probably be the better fit. Kriti is too tall for Aamir.

Yami.. she looks better and acts better .

Between two candidates Aamir always picks the bigger boxoffice pull wali, toh looking at how Kriti's PR has been paying paps to call her the new box office queen, it's Kriti who's gonna bag this movie.

But Yami has the innocence in her face that's needed to play Jenny.
