After this Tweet, there should be no doubt.

L'Oreal wants more than just RC. Their marketing strategy changed. Hardly they are tweeting about DP/Aish. Chopard is all over the place.

Loreal used to spend a lot on Cannes. It wasn't just the Indian ambassadors. They used to have more than a dozen Loreal women walking the red carpet from all across the world.

I haven't paid attention but who else is there from outside India? I think Eva Longoria was there. Not sure about the others.

Now it's all about the new names.

Disha Patni - MAC

Tara Sutaria- Bobbi Brown

Diana Penty - Estee Lauder

Ananya Pandey - Lakme

Alia Bhatt - Maybelline

Am a MAC enthusiast and hoarder but even I know MAC, Estee Lauder, BB aint affordable to the gen demographic they want sell to. Not pocket friendly for the general college going girl. Lakme,L'oreal, Maybelline and new player Nykaa are the ones hogging the market. And till these brands come down to regulating prices for the Indian demographic there's no chance of a market takeover. They are hiring the new girls cause less pay, more social media friendly, the mainstream ones are taken. I don't buy the idea of L'oreal girls being replaced or phased out. Certainly not Aishwarya. They may hire a new millennial recruit since Sonam is out.

However, on the brighter side, Mahira Khan is reportedly making an appearance as the representation of L’Oreal Paris Pakistan at Paris Fashion Week (PFW) this year. Though, L’Oreal Paris Pakistan has yet to give an official statement but they have confirmed that the Pakistani actress will represent them at the upcoming PFW.

This year’s Cannes Film Festival was about women-power. While, the world saw the red-carpet moments of our divas including Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hina Khan and Priyanka Chopra among others that sent the internet wild, one more Asian actress was missing in action. Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan, who dazzled everyone with her smashing debut at Cannes film festival 2018, as the spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris Pakistan Haircare was missed at the iconic carpet this year. Aside from her lovely outfits at the 2018 Cannes film festival and the poise with which she carried them, Mahira had also made news for her bonding with Sonam Kapoor.

thats why DP/Aish will get leverage. Still they need a new face who can influence teens and early 20s. DP's market already saturated. She doesn't influence teens and early 20s anymore.

L’Oréal shifted towards influencers , they have got insta influencers walking Cannes, might just phase out most of the movie star contracts atleast for India.

I agree . Specially having both dp n Sonam is useless cz both r from same generation of actresses. Maybe Alia or Sara or Jhanvi will get offer

I think Indian stars will get some leverage since there aren't beauty influencers like West.

Many people don't like YouTubers/Insta celebs but their influence on beauty industry is more than these celebs.
