"Kyu, mujhe kuch ho jata to tumhe koi fark padta?"
Tucking her hair tendrils behind her ears, he had the softest of his voice ask her gazing straight in her eyes with no hesitation, no awkward step back, nothing. Her hands were still on his shoulders and she was still in the secure hold of his arms around her waist.
His frantic wife seemed a bit relaxed after his efforts of calming her down. He was awestruck, witnessing her keeping aside her most haunting fear just for him. This very woman, when herself caught in fire days back, couldn't move despite her life being in danger and today, this very same woman, had jumped in fire uncaring everything... for him? Since when did he become so important to her that she was fighting her inner demons for him? He would get his answers, today.
She slowly let her hands slide down his shoulders realising how close she was to him. "Aapko yaad hai aapne kaha tha aapko meri aakho me dikhta hai jab jhooth bolne ki koshish karti hu?"
Where did this come from? His forehead stretched at what she was making him recall. He hummed in response anyway.
"Matlab aankhe padh lete hai aap meri. To ye bhi padh lijiye."

If at all there is something that I like about the entire forced fight bit, then it is the bit where Rakshit said that he can see it in her eyes when she lies. I really like this entire eyes reading thing. Back then I knew, I could use it somewhere and here I did.
