He is a mass star. He connected with the masses. They just want entertainment and Salman definitely delivers in that section. He may not be the best dancer or actor but he is definitely an entertainer that keeps u engrossed.

He became a star because the money paying audience loves his apparent non acting n dancing.

In Movies like MPK, Saajan , HAHK , Khamoshi ...he did decent acting and became star...after that he never had to work hard.
