I think it first needs to be seen where Kalank ends up.
Luckily the opening was good and Varun has gotten a good response. I feel like it hurts actors more when they get panned alongside the film and the opening doesn't take. I think more than any of the cast its the director who will suffer the side effects if it really goes pear-shaped.
As for Varun what's worrying is more just about his lineup. Street Dancer and Coolie No 1 don't appear promising at all. Yeah abcd2 had worked but it was a ridiculous movie and that was a few years ago now, audience expect much more and the less said about the quality of his dad's movies the better.
i think Varun needs to slow down bit, not sign so many mass films all together and just take a moment to figure out some smart moves,
