Why don't we have live performances anymore?

Awards used to be telecast live. Why aren't they doing it now? They are telecast weeks after the actual ceremony. Why?

editing heavy shows hote hai aajkal.

They cant do fancy dance performances then. Like having same person dancing 2 styles side by side which they do in shows nowadays.

Some film it separately and an audience shot is attached.

I really miss those times when Govinda used to dance.
Also Karishma.
So much energy, fun and actual entertainment.
Aaj kal toh heroine ko 1000 uthate hai, phir niche rakh dete hai, heroine two Faklundu move karta Hai, phir uthate hai, phir rakh dete hai.

Live telecast hone lage toh we will see empty halls instead of Bollywood sitting like a happy family enjoying each other's jokes.😆

I thought some award venues still do live shows? Anyway, I just find all the stupid drama and live shows boring. Most actresses who perform are doing the same style of dancing and how many times do you want to see the same sh!t again?

Yeah even in the early 2000s, SRK and the likes were performing live w no breaks in between performances. With the tech these days, they can do so much more. But more effort is needed. Plus the growing dislike for award shows isnt helping 😆
