I think Abir is by far my favorite male lead on ITV. He is free-spirited, fun-loving, helpful, caring, and protective, all of which are amazing qualities.
On top of that, the best quality is that he is super alert, aware of his surroundings, is INTELLIGENT, and sees through his mother so easily. As many here have mentioned, he was able to put together the story behind Mishti's father based off of a couple of conversations that he had overheard and from what he had witnessed at the Holi party.
Now, from the segments that have come out, it is evident that Abir has easily identified Meenakshi's entire game plan behind rejecting Kuhu and selecting Mishti for Kunal. He has found out about Meenakshi using the jhumkas to identify Kuhu/Mishti, and has put her on the spot in front of the family by accusing her of calling the police to break the alliance. 👏👏 👏
This is by far the only male lead I have ever seen who is this perceptive. At a time when almost all Indian TV male leads are brainless and spineless, a character like Abir is refreshing. The guy is not only smart, but truly has a detective's brains!! (I think he belongs in the CBI, not Mishti, lol 😆)Even when Parul comes forward to take the blame in the segment, he is damn sure that she is covering up for his mother.
In fact, Meenakshi's plan has flopped again because Abir has saved Mishti and Kuhu from getting arrested, and has also saved the Maheshwaris from undergoing a bigger public spectacle by having the police take them to the side. Meenakshi has also been forced to take back her complaint and pretend that she didn't know that Mishti and Kuhu were the girls that Ketki met in Rann, who actually helped her come back rather than run away, in order to maintain her good image in front of Kunal. Abir, I'm sure, will not buy her explanation and will keep a close watch on her now.
Just like Meenakshi, I too was hoping for the Kunal-Mishti alliance to break over this issue, and the story to progress with the newly budding friendships between the two couples, but I guess it is still on the cards for now all thanks to Abir. The rest of the Rajvansh family will apologize and Meenakshi will be forced to comply for the time being in order to save face.
I just can't wait for MishBir and KuKu happen but I like that this show has not jumped straight into the attraction/love phase for both of the couples. This is what makes YRHPK realistic and enoyable to watch. Despite having an inkling of their own feelings and sense of disappointment regarding the impending Mishti-Kunal alliance, Abir and Kuhu don't appear to be smitten or sad, 24/7, and have not yet come to the point of being in love.
They're taking their own sweet time to get to know each other, and the new friendships are just a starting point. Abir has already realized that Kuhu is a better fit for Kunal. Again, hats off to him for that👏 👏. Now, I want him to try and make KuKu happen, realizing his own feelings in the process.
