As much as I have understood the character of Mishti and Veer -
MISHTI AND VEER ARE NOT IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER.
I don't see love in this relationship at all.
Both saw each other , liked each other as it matched their criteria / traits in partner which they had been thinking from their childhood days and assumed that they were in love with the other one when the fact is they are not.
They are living in a delusion which is now being challenged due to the feelings Mishti ka garnering for Ruhaan.
Veer and Mishti want to do things like other couples do - kiss, put colour on each other first and other silly things as they feel that they are in love with each other but in reality they are not.
For Veer , Mishti is that perfect girl who keeps his and his families priorities on top. The moment Mishti would differ and keep her opinion he would retaliate .
Biggest example : He did not feel the need to invite Mishti's friends in the birthday party he organized for her. Instead he invited his own.
These little gestures shows that Veer doesn't really think about Mishti. He doesn't ask her the reasons why she is sad nor dwell upon much on her complexities as he is not in love with her.
He is a good boy but not in love with Mishti.
On the other hand same goes for Mishti too.
She met Veer and found all the boxes which she had thought always her groom should have getting ticked and hence she felt that she has found her prince Charming and felt that she was in love , but the fact is she wasn't .
If she would have been in love, she would have shown her insecurities to Veer , shared her problems with him , but instead of that she was busy being the perfect docile girl which Veer wants her to be due to her own insecurities.
Basically , Veer and Mishti haven't explored each other at all . They are in love with the dream which they have always had for their partners but haven't really tested waters.
Hence I feel there is no love in this relationship , so falling out of love never arises.
