Ratna back with new show

Ratna Sinha, wife of director Anubhav Sinha, has returned to TV production under her independent banner Chota Ganapati Tele Creations. Her latest soap offering is Babul Ka Aaagann Chootey Na, which will replace Smriti Irani's Virrudh on Sony.

Actor Aastha Chaudhary has been accepted as the main lead in the serial. She belongs to small town called Alwar in Rajasthan. Ratna was sure about casting Aastha although Chhavi Mittal was also considered for the lead role. "Aastha suits the role of the protagonist. Her simplicity and relatability is what is clicking with viewers. The feedback I have got so far is very positive. Soon Aastha's character will get engaged in the show."
Aastha says, "I am quite lucky to get my big break with Ratna. She knows what she wants from her actors" Ratna had made her directorial debut on television with the popular show Saher.
