That is given that she does not want to let go of her individual identity hence did not change her name. But whenever she is asked she prefers referring to herself as Deepika padukone singh rather than bhavnani. I myself has not changed my name so why would I expect someone else to do so!! I do not endorse losing individuality just coz one is married.

People cannot tolerate a woman who doesn't change her name after marriage and retains her own identity.

Patriarchal nonsense.

I am proud of Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone who have retained their identity and names after marriage. They proved a woman can very much be in love with her husband and be happily married but she doesn't need to give up her work or identity after marriage.

Far better than those who change name on all accounts and leave own identity on day of marriage itself.

Men never change name or identity or family after marriage. Why are women expected to do so?

Ranveer and Deepika are secure enough in own identities. Only jealous or orthodox people would make big deal of name.

I thought SLB was a bit insulting to RS..He called him boy/my boy.

I don't think it is appropriate to call a big star "boy" at a televised event,however close they may be..They should address them like professionals.

. she has no problem If people called ranveer also ranveer singh padukone but has a problem when people are only changing women name and not men name, so she definitely doesn't has a problem with bhavnani but with regressive standards where only women name gets change
