Part 12- Sweet and Bitter Cospiracies
GK entered the room talking on her phone and didn't notice Akshat who had just exited from the bathroom. And she collided into him. Both lost their balance and toppled over onto the bed, that was off Akshat's reach for the past 3 days!
GK opened her eyes to see her husband' towering over her, half decent. Thankfully!
Akshat could not tear his gaze away from her. He could feel her heart beats soothing him into peace, while she could feel his naked arms clutched under her fingers. She looked up into his face and a weird unknown feeling coursed through her veins, the water droplet that was tracing his freshly shaved cheek had her full attention, as it trickled down his chin and started sliding along his sternum and to his abs...
GK tore her gaze away before it drifted to inappropriate places. What the hell was she doing eyeballing a man whom she was planning to leave behind in another 3 days!?
However the lecture she was giving her loitering eyes halted as a water drop trickled onto her face and out of instinct, she turned to its source to see his unkempt locks dripping wet. His steady gaze was boring holes into her and as his lips parted, her eyes followed them and eyed them almost wantonly.
Embarrassed GK turned away yet again. Damn his plump lips and sexy face!!
Get a grip GK! This attraction is illegal! You should not let Guddan's emotional baggage weigh you down. You have way more pressing matters to attend to then participating in amorous games!
Taking reins of self-control, GK turned to AJ with a cool look on her face, "How long will it take to move away, Mr. Jindal? You are a bit on the heavier side.
In reponse, AJ only smirked and leaned closer. Caught off guard, GK let the cool faade slip off and stammered in a not-so-GK way, "W-What are you...
"I am sorry but I have to do it... He whispered as he leaned closer and she closed her eyes scared.
The previous night had messed with her brain for sure. No wonder, she could not find it in her heart to resist.
As his lips brushed past her cheek, her eyes flew open to see him smiling.
"That's how you did it! He chuckled.
Flashback
"What the hell was that?! Akshat enquired pissed while pressing his left palm to his cheek, flabbergasted.
Guddan chuckled at his adorableness. "It was a kiss, Akshat Ji, She replied in a matter of fact voice.
"I-I know that! But why did you do it?! He asked as he turned to the mirror and taking a wet wipe started to wipe her lipstick mark off his cheek.
"Hmm...because I wanted to... She shrugged as she plopped in front of him while he glared her way.
"Your wishes are insignificant without my permission! He rumbled as she nodded, "Then...can I kiss you, Akshat Ji?! She asked innocently.
"Hell no!! I am not some tissue paper to leave your lipstick marks on! He shouted annoyed as he almost succeeded in wiping the mark off.
In response, Guddan pouted and made a puppy face, "Vese...you have my permission if you feel like kissing me! Guddan suggested cheekily.
Akshat looked at her as if she had grown horns and smiled mirthlessly, "In-your-dreams!
"If only I was that creative! Guddan replied grumpily and started to leave.
"By the way...
Akshat rolled his eyes as she turned around to him, "I can teach you if you have forgotten how to kiss. You pucker your lips like that... Guddan enacted as she pointed her lips out.
Akshat waited for the next stupid instruction to come, but instead she leaned closer and pressed her lips against his left cheek yet again. His eyes widened but before he could burst at her, she had already moved away from him and was all ready to run.
"And that's how you do it! Guddan chimed as Akshat glared at her and she rushed out of the room, chuckling.
GK blinked her eyes twice in a row trying to make sense of what she had recalled. Guddan's memory?!
As she looked at Akshat confused, his smile conveyed everything. He did it intentionally. As Akshat was about to move away, her arm looped around his neck and kept him from moving away. Caught by surprise, he fell over her, his lips a breath away from hers.
"Kissing on cheeks like a child is lame, dear husband, GK breathed huskily as her eyes drifted between his eyes and his lips.
Akshat gulped hard. Restraint was never his forte.
"Let's see how your lips will feel against mine GK suggested as she swiped her thumb over his lips and he inhaled sharply.
And they leaned closer at a snail's pace. He was troubled. Getting physical when she gave no care to his feelings felt wrong.
He wasn't the only one having second thoughts.
And both turned away from each other at the same time. As he moved away, GK rushed past him and he managed to hear her speak, "If only your meddlesome feelings were not in the way!
"That's right Guddan, your feelings came in the way...your consideration for my feelings came in the way...
GK punched the tree, annoyed. Shit could have gone down had she not controlled her goddamn hormones that were freaking raging in his presence. A first! For she had never felt such a strong desire towards opposite sex. But what was even more problematic was the fact, that she had stopped not because she could not accept her tremendous attraction towards her husband, but because she did not intend to delude him into believing that she has accepted him and she just didn't want him to harbour any hopes and then get hurt later. She had given way more weightage to his feelings than hers. Damn! And then that memory had her heart in twists and her stomach in knots!

"So Saru bahu, how exactly you met Jayce...err..Parv, I mean? GK asked as she flipped the pages in her file, while Saru pressed on her legs.
"I met him about a year back only, about the time when you entered our lives Saru replied as GK nodded and signalled her to apply more pressure.
"How exactly did you two meet?
"We met due to Siddhi who is AJ's friend's daughter. I and Siddhi used to hang out together when Parv bhaiya saw Siddhi and both fell in love or so...
"it seemed to you! GK completed as Saru nodded. Jayce had infiltrated the Jindal mansion with a very carefully devised plan solely to look after her.
"I don't think I have seen any Siddhi in this house?
"The thing is Siddhi and bhaiya, I mean Jayce were engaged to get married when about 3 months back, Siddhi received the news of her father's demise and left for the States.
"I see.. GK trailed thoughtfully as she slapped the file close and bit back a yawn, "I am kinda hungry, why don't you go and cook me some pasta.
Saru nodded begrudgingly as GK shooed her away with a fickle smile.
"You heard it Harris? GK asked as she turned over her phone kept on the table and pressed it to her ears.
"I did, Miss. Mr. Vardman Dogra who died three months back has a daughter who goes by the name Siddhi and had been living in India since the age of 5 with a friend of his, whose identity he never disclosed, Harris replied as a *ping* of notification rung on GK's phone.
"I've sent you the details that I could get, Ma'am.
"Good job, Harris
And with that the line went silent as GK opened her mail and started going through its contents. Mr. Dogra had been one of the major sponsors of her dream project and the only person beside her Pops who believed in her ambitions. And now he was no more, to top it off his death happened at a time when she had lost her memories. What exactly had been happening behind her back? This all seemed so fishy! Vikas and Mr. Dogra had died. Her dream project was shelved due to safety concerns and worst of all, her blueprint was missing.
"This all is a part of a huge conspiracy! GK hissed as she clenched her teeth.
