I feel there are many better performances out there like Sanya, Rani, Tabu etc etc. What do you think?

Sanya toh definitely did not deserve it (if she was nominated), Rani was over-rated and Tabu was the only one who was serious competition to Alia in my opinion. But I would not have had a problem if Tabu had won.

Well it was a popular award.
While personally I would have given to Rani, but at least Alia won, not Deepika.

Was Tabu in the same category ? I thought Tabu was in Critics. Anyways, popular category Alia - deserving.

Yes she did! ... It would have looked comical had Deepika's "stoic and moist" eyes had won it for Padmavat! .. 🤣

Tabu should have been nominated if not in mains then supporting cast! .. Not sure if she was ... Sanya and Rani debatable depending on who you ask! ... But Alia got major praises for Raazi plus it was backed by success ... Not really unfair Imo ... So it's a "YES" for me! ... 😛

For me the best performance of 2018 female were Tabu in Andhadhun followed by Surekha ji in Badhaai Ho.

Were their performances nominated?

Alia did not deserve to win for Raazi when we had such stellar performances.

Alia is not fully undeserving but I wish it was Tabu who got that award...It's basically the FFs loss because giving the best actress award to Tabu would've lent so much credibility to the awards that it can now only dream about! Otherwise Tabu already got her award by making a place in every Andhadhun viewer's heart as the best thing about the movie...
