It's not that I like Alia. In fact, I used to like Parineeti but truth of the matter is that while one is obsessed with looking glamorus and losing weight, the other is hungry for good roles and movies.
They don't have the same ambitions it seems. Alia's helped her improve and add to her brand value while Parineeti only faded (in fact one of her movie is half shelved).
Alia has big projects in her kitty and her name is in everyone's mouth. Moreover, having the backing of KJO is a non negligeable plus.
Alia isn't gorgeous but she's pretty enough.
And for me Parineeti turned out to be a disappointement. She's not that good as an actress and while she took a hiatus to "improve" her body, she didn't think it would be wise to work on her acting too. She turned down a movie like Piku too.
So someone who doesn't take their career seriously can't be thought to be missing anything if a meaty offer goes over their head.
