Can we recognize people for the good that they have done while simultaneously condemning their wrongs?
getting inspired by their art and wanting also to be an actor is one thing. I am talking about taking them as a whole human being and following them as a whole is different. And i don't consider painters, musicians and so on as role model either. Especially when money gets involved all artists become manipulative, deceiving, corrupt and overall a cheat. Admiring their art, and respecting them for their contribution to the art and achievements is one thing. But taking them as a role model as a whole human being nah. Also art is different from the artist. For example, if someone takes Rani from Queen or Datto from TWMR as a role model, understandable. But Kangu as a role model, bit iffy. Like Kangu can be admired for some qualities of her, as she and Vidya are some of the few female actors who have done huge work in this revival of women centric movies trend. So yeah if this gives confidence to some new actress, that yes we can also achieve our own space by doing movies without big male stars than that is a cool thing. But Kangu as a whole, belittling other people, harassing people and so on? Nah, not for me at least.Originally posted by: GrumpyTheCat
Why not? Why are artists of such nature looked down upon?If a painter, sculpture or any other form artist can be role models then why can't motion picture actors considered role models? After all every thing is an art and all of us are actors.Movies have one of the biggest impact on us. It's just that our expectation of them differs from their actual nature.
The recent coverage of a dying Dharmendra and his helpless family feels so surreal, an episode of "Black Mirror" almost. Has Society become this...
