Alia Bhatt turns Producer for her own Production House

I m beginning to wonder whats the deal with this. Almost everyone is opening up their own production house in BW these days. Kya chakkar hai.

Producing gives them more financial benefits. As actors they just get a paycheck. As producers they get a profit from a lot of other aspects of that movie. I think depending on the contract possibly even some percentage every time that movie airs on TV. Since other than the Khans no one else has profit sharing options this makes a project more profitable for an Anushka Sharma or a John Abraham. Also if they like a script by producing it they have control over the casting and other aspects of it.

All that being said, given Alia's professional proximity to KJo and his reciprocation via top scripts I do wonder why she's turning to production?

He does. But are they going to collaborate on everything now? Because otherwise who's getting the good project? Who's starting in a Dharma movie if Alia is busy with her own production?

Going to take PC's route... Add her PH's name to small but promising regional films as presenter and make money from them. Plus, they get more respect when they take producer's credit. Waise bhi as a producer they just have to announce the cast... Phir koi na koi studio movie ko khareed lete hai. Kjo himself doesn't spend his own money to produce his films.

People don't mock Anushka and Sonam after their flops because people think it was their own money, they have GUTTS to produce such brave projects, eventhough the movies were actually produced by FOX or Zee.

Dharma even does this. They partner for all their releases and get the credit for the success
