Ranbir approached to star in Saare Jahaan Se Achha

If the reports are to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of Mahesh Mathai's Saare Jahaan Se Achha. The film is based on astronaut Rakesh Sharma, who was the first Indian to travel in space in April 1984. Even though no official announcement has been made, we hear that the actor walked out of the film after the debacle of Zero at the box-office. Interestingly, Zero too had him venturing into space and the superstar didn't want to repeat the space angle' anytime soon. Amidst all this, reports of Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan being approached for the film did rounds but were later denied.

Meanwhile, the latest we hear from a source is that Ranbir Kapoor is now being considered to play Rakesh Sharma in Saare Jahaan Se Achha. Source further suggests that the Sanju star still has to give his nod to the project.

Rahul Raut says it was Vicky. Filmfare says that is not true. Who knows at this point. Ranbir does have the dates open because Ajay Devgn said the Luv Ranjan movie will start filming early 2020.

Rahul Raut said Vicky is confirmed and he tends to be pretty reliable. Will wait for an official announcement tbh..

Kartik, Vicky and Ranbir are lobbying for the film most probably.

Why would Ranbir even be considered ? No director in his sane mind will want to cast him in Rakesh Sharma biopic. After all Rakesh Sharma wasn't a manchild 😆 .

Ranbir's PR or KJo wants to give the vibe that this useless prince is approached for every good and bad thing in the world. Like as if he is some kinda hot and happening newbie in the town. Well he is not 😆 . He isn't offered even half the things his PR claims 😲 😆
